- ポリマーマトリックスと、
前記ポリマーマトリックス内に配置された複数のポリマー繊維であって、前記ポリマー繊維の少なくとも1つが、光を反射するための多数の複屈折性界面を含み、前記複屈折性界面が、第1のポリマー材料と第2のポリマー材料との間に形成され、前記第1および第2のポリマー材料の少なくとも1つが複屈折性であり、前記複屈折性界面が、前記ポリマー繊維の少なくとも1つの内部にあり、前記少なくとも1つのポリマー繊維の軸に沿って細長く、前記ポリマー繊維が、第1の軸に実質的に平行に配向され、前記第1の軸に平行に偏光された光の前記複屈折性界面における屈折率差が、第2の軸に平行に偏光された光の前記複屈折性界面における屈折率差と異なり、前記第2の軸が前記第1の軸に直交する、複数のポリマー繊維と

- 光学体であって、

前記第1の軸に平行に前記光学材料内に配置された細長いポリマー繊維であって、前記ポリマー繊維が、前記第1の軸に沿って細長く、かつ、前記第1の軸に沿った屈折率n1x、および前記第2の軸に沿った屈折率n1yを有する第1の複屈折性材料を含み、n1xがn1yと異なり、前記細長いポリマー繊維が、前記第1の軸に沿って細長く、かつ、前記第1の軸に沿った屈折率n2x、および前記第2の軸に沿った屈折率n2yを有する第2の材料を含み、前記光学体が、前記第1の軸に沿って偏光された入射光を、前記第2の軸に沿って偏光された入射光と異なって散乱させる、細長いポリマー繊維とを含む光学体。
