Abstract
【解決手段】それぞれの一端が正極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の正極と、それぞれの一端が負極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の負極と、可撓性を有するシート状の複数のセパレータと、を有する蓄電素子を有し、正極と負極は、複数のセパレータの一を間に挟んで交互に重なり合い、蓄電素子は、可撓性を有する外装体に封入されている蓄電装置である。

Description
本実施の形態においては、高容量でかつ少なくとも一軸方向に可撓性を有するリチウム二次電池に代表される蓄電装置について、図1を用いて説明する。
正極101の一つの端部において、正極集電体が導体材料からなる正極タブ104と物理的に固定される。正極101の平面形状が、例えば長方形であればその短辺のうちの一辺を端部とすることができる。その他の平面形状であっても、複数の正極101を部分的に固定するために、任意の箇所を一つの端部とすることができる。他方、その他の端部は固定されないため、結果として正極101の一端のみが正極タブ104に固定される。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1で示した蓄電素子における複数のセパレータを、一続きのセパレータとした例について、図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1又は実施の形態2で示した蓄電素子を用いた蓄電装置について、図3及び図4を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態において、実施の形態1乃至3で説明した蓄電素子をリチウム二次電池とした場合の構造及びその製造方法について説明する。
はじめに、正極及びその製造方法について説明する。図5(A)は正極500の断面図である。正極500は、正極集電体501上に正極合剤層502が形成される。
次に、負極及びその製造方法について、図6(A)を用いて説明する。
以上のようにして製造された帯状の正極500と負極510とを所定の大きさに裁断してそれぞれ複数用意し、正極500は正極タブへ、負極510は負極タブへ接続する。電極とタブとの接続は、具体的には電極が有する集電体とタブとの接続である。該接続により電気的な接続とともに物理構造的な固定がなされる。正極と正極タブ、及び負極と負極タブとの固定には、例えば超音波溶接法を用いることができる。
本発明の一態様に係る蓄電装置は、様々な電気機器の電源として用いることができる。ここで電気機器とは、電気の力によって作用する部分を含む工業製品全般をいう。電気機器は、家電等の民生用に限られず、業務用、産業用、軍事用等、種々の用途のものを広くその範疇とする。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の蓄電装置が適用された曲面形状を有する電気機器の例について、図8を用いて説明する。

Claims (5)
- それぞれの一端が正極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の正極と、
それぞれの一端が負極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の負極と、
可撓性を有するシート状の複数のセパレータと、を有する蓄電素子を有し、
前記正極と前記負極は、前記複数のセパレータの一を間に挟んで交互に重なり合い、
前記蓄電素子は、可撓性を有する外装体に封入されていることを特徴とする蓄電装置。 - それぞれの一端が正極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の正極と、
それぞれの一端が負極タブに固定された、可撓性を有するシート状の複数の負極と、
可撓性を有するシート状のセパレータと、を有する蓄電素子を有し、
前記正極と前記負極は、前記セパレータを間に挟んで交互に重なり合い、
前記蓄電素子は、可撓性を有する外装体に封入されていることを特徴とする蓄電装置。 - 請求項1又は2において、
前記蓄電素子は、前記正極タブと前記負極タブとの間隔を保持する支持板を有することを特徴とする蓄電装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項において、
前記セパレータは、ポリプロピレン又はポリテトラフルオロエチレンであることを特徴とする蓄電装置。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の蓄電装置を有する電気機器。
