Description
(試作品の製造)
図3に示されるように、84mmのドラムスキャナ60を用い、電気試験部品55を製造した。帯電デバイス65は、スコロトロンであり、露光デバイス90は、630nm LEDラインスキャン照明器であった。消去ランプ70は、780nmでフィルタリングしたXenon Lampであった。露光システムは、スコロトロンの前に配置され、消去ランプは、ESV1(75)およびESV2(80)と書かれている静電電圧計(ESV)の後に配置された。ESV3(85)は、消去ランプの後に配置された。試験部品55は、以下のタイミングで製造し、最大速度240RPMが可能である(表1)。
以下の手順にしたがって画像形成体を調製した。金属化したMYLAR基材を提供し、ヒドロキシガリウムフタロシアニン(HOGaPc)/ポリ(ビスフェノール−Zカーボネート)光発生層を基材の上に機械によってコーティングした。電荷輸送層は、褐色瓶に、50重量%の高品質N,N,N’N’−テトラ(4−メチルフェニル)−(1,1’−ビフェニル)−4,4’−ジアミン(化合物1)、50重量%のポリマーバインダー、FPC−0170ポリマー(Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co.から入手可能)を入れることによって調製された。
上の測定システムを用い、感光体を取り付け、光ダイオードによって、図4に示されるような「オン状態」によって測定する場合、露光ラインスキャナのエネルギーを3.9maに設定し、光ダイオードによって、図5に示されるような「オフ状態」で測定する場合、0maに設定した。この設定によって、「オン状態」の場合、感光体に対し、630nmの光を3000erg/cm2与えた。ドラムの速度を240RPMに設定した。次いで、オン状態およびオフ状態の場合に、電荷受容性(図3のESV1およびESV2のような)を測定した。
オフ状態には、非常に高い電荷受容性(約450V)が得られ、この値は、従来の放電領域の現像(DAD)ゼログラフィーの帯電した状態と等価である(図4)。オン状態には、非常に低い電荷受容性(約40V)が得られ、これは、従来のDADゼログラフィーの放電した状態と等価である(図5)。

- 基材と、
基材の上に配置された電荷発生層と、
電荷発生層の上に配置された電荷輸送分子を含む電荷輸送層とを備え、光感受性である静電画像形成体と;
静電画像形成体の表面に選択的に露光するための露光デバイスと;
静電画像形成体の表面を帯電させるための静電帯電デバイスとを備え、静電画像形成体の露光した表面には電荷が受け入れられず、静電画像形成体の露光していない表面には電荷が受け入れられる、静電画像形成デバイス。 - 前記電荷輸送分子が、以下
およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される電荷輸送分子からなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の静電画像形成デバイス。 - 前記電荷輸送分子が、前記電荷輸送層中、約1%〜約60%の量で存在する、請求項3に記載の静電画像形成デバイス。
- 前記電荷輸送層は、厚みが約2ミクロン〜約40ミクロンである、請求項3に記載の静電画像形成デバイス。
- 前記電荷輸送分子が、ポリマーバインダーをさらに含む、請求項3に記載の静電画像形成デバイス。
- (a)
基材と、
基材の上に配置された電荷発生層と、
電荷発生層の上に配置された電荷輸送分子を含む電荷輸送層とを含み、光感受性である静電画像形成体と;
静電画像形成体の表面を選択的に露光するための露光デバイスと;
静電画像形成体の表面を帯電させるための静電帯電デバイスとを備える、表面に静電潜像を受け入れるための電荷保持表面を有し、静電画像形成体の露光した表面には電荷が受け入れられず、静電画像形成体の露光していない表面には電荷が受け入れられる、静電画像形成デバイスと;
(b)電荷保持表面に現像材料を塗布し、静電潜像を現像し、電荷保持表面に現像した画像を作成するための現像要素と;
(c)電荷保持表面から複写基材へと現像した画像を転写するための転写要素と;
(d)現像した画像を複写基材に融合させるための融合要素とを備える、記録媒体の上に画像を作成する画像形成装置。 - 前記露光デバイスが、ラスタ出力スキャナ(ROS)および発光ダイオード(LED)アレイからなる群から選択される、請求項8に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記静電帯電デバイスが、コロトロン、スコロトロン、バイアス電荷ローラーからなる群から選択される、請求項8に記載の画像形成装置。
