The surface of this material is positively or negatively charged uniformly and exposed to a primary optical image, then the area of the layer 14 surface exposed in the primary exposure step is charged positively or negatively, the unexposed area reversely, and after the secondary charging, layer 14 is exposed to a secondary optical image to form 3 kinds of positive, zero, and negative potential levels in the latent images on the electrostatic latent image forming material.
