Abstract
PURPOSE:To equalize recording of a positive image and a negative image, by charging the whose surface as soon as the negative image is exposed on the photosensitive body, varying the electrostatic capacity of an exposed part and an unexposed part, and after that, exposing the positive image. CONSTITUTION:Onto a photosensitive body 4 consisting of a conductive supporting body 1, a photoconductive body layer 2 and a permeable insulating layer 3, corona charging is executed by a charger 5 as soon as a negative is printed and exposed by means of a laser beam irradiation. As for the effective electrostatic capacity, that of the exposed part is larger, therefore, as for the charge density on the layer 3, that of the exposed part is higher. Subsequently, when the postive form exposure is executed, the potential of the unexposed part, and the exposure part for printing and exposing a negative becomes VS. Also, the unexposed part in the negative printing and exposing process is exposed by the positive form exposure, its capacity is increased, and the surface potential drops and becomes VL. Accordingly, a latent image is formed by only two processes of negative printing and exposure + charging, and positive form exposure, and when development is executed by a negative toner 6, uniform recording is executed.
