Abstract

1436526 Electro-photography FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 18 April 1974 [7 May 1973] 17043/74 Heading G2H Developed electro-photographic images are produced by forming a plurality of layers of photo-conductive toner particles on an insulating or insulating-surfaced substrate, charging their surface in darkness, exposing imagewise so that portions of the layer near the substrate acquire a charge, neutralizing the remaining charge at the surface and removing particles to leave an image of charged particles against the substrate., Alternatively the layers may be formed entirely of charged particles, some of which lose their charge on exposure. The developed images so formed can be fixed by heat, or by spraying with a solvent.
