Claims (8)
- 流体法を用いて金属でセラミック材料繊維を被覆する方法にして、坩堝(12)の内側に実質的に球形になって浮揚した溶融金属の装入物(22)を維持するステップと、繊維の一部(35)が金属被覆で被覆されるために装入物に浸漬されるように、張架されたセラミック材料繊維(24)を坩堝の両側に配置されるボトムプーリ(28)とトッププーリ(26)との間を所定の速度で走行させるステップから成る方法であって、また、装入物に浸漬される繊維の一部を、装入物に浸漬される繊維の瞬間高さ(h)が被覆作業を通じて実質的に一定のままであるように装入物の残余体積に応じて被覆時に移動させるステップから成ることを特徴とする、方法。
- 装入物(22)に浸漬される繊維の一部(35)の移動が、繊維の走行方向に実質的に直角の方向に起こる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 装入物(22)に浸漬される繊維の一部(35)が、プーリ(26、28)のうちの1つと坩堝(12)との間に挿置される少なくとも1つのホイール(36)によって移動させられ、繊維の走行方向に直角に移動させることができる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 装入物(22)に浸漬される繊維の一部(35)が、装入物の繊維の一部の初期位置、装入物の初期特性、繊維の走行速度、および繊維の被覆ピックアップ容量に応じて計算される速度で移動させられる、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 金属がチタン合金である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- プーリ(26)とプーリ(28)との間の繊維の走行速度が、被覆を通じて実質的に一定に維持される、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 流体法によって金属でセラミック材料繊維を被覆するための装置にして、
金属の装入物(22)を溶融するのに適し、かつ実質的に球形になって浮揚した装入物(22)を維持するための坩堝(12)と、
セラミック材料の張架された繊維(34)を受け入れるのに適し、かつプーリの間を走行する繊維の一部(35)が金属被覆を受け入れるために装入物に浸漬され得るように坩堝の両側に配置されるトッププーリ(26)およびボトムプーリ(28)とを備える装置であって、
装入物に浸漬される繊維の瞬間高さが被覆作業を通じて実質的に一定のままであるように、装入物に浸漬される繊維の一部を装入物の残余体積に応じて移動させるように被覆時に使用するための手段(36、38、40)をさらに含むことを特徴とする、装置。 - 装入物に浸漬される繊維の一部が装入物の残余体積に合わせて移動させられる速度をサーボ制御するように、被覆時に使用するための手段をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の装置。
