Claims (23)
- ロータリー内燃エンジンにおいて、
外ハウジングと、前記外ハウジング内に配置された内ハウジングと、を備え、前記外ハウジング及び前記内ハウジングのうちの少なくとも一方が他方に対して回転可能でありかつ駆動部品を具備し、かつ、前記外ハウジングの内周面と前記内ハウジングの外周面の間に形成された包囲空間を備え、
前記包囲空間内に配置された少なくとも2つの障壁を備え、前記障壁のうちの少なくとも1つが前記障壁のうちの別の少なくとも1つに対して回転可能であり、前記障壁のうちの少なくとも1つは旋回軸に装着された収納可能障壁を有し、かつ、少なくとも1つの前記収納可能障壁が前記包囲空間内に突出する突出位置と前記突出位置から引っ込む収納位置の間で旋回可能であり、前記収納可能障壁が前記突出位置にあるとき前記包囲空間が燃焼室と排気室に分割され、
燃焼流体を前記燃焼室に導入するための吸気口と、
前記排気室から燃焼ガスを排気するための排気口と、
燃料と燃焼流体との混合気に点火するために前記燃焼室に配置された点火源と、を備えたことを特徴とする
ロータリー内燃エンジン。 - 前記燃焼室に燃料を導入するために前記燃焼室に燃料インジェクターがさらに配置されている、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記少なくとも2つの障壁が、前記包囲空間内に突出する第1の障壁と、突出位置と収納位置の間で旋回可能な第1の収納可能障壁と、を有し、前記第1の障壁及び前記第1の収納可能障壁のうちの少なくとも一方が他方に対して回転可能であり、かつ、前記包囲空間内に突出する第2の障壁と、突出位置と収納位置の間で旋回可能な第2の収納可能障壁と、を有し、前記第2の障壁及び前記第2の収納可能障壁のうちの少なくとも一方が他方に対して回転可能であり、前記第1及び第2の収納可能障壁が前記突出位置にあるとき前記包囲空間が第1及び第2の燃焼室と第1及び第2の排気室に分割される、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記外ハウジングの対向する側面に配置された第1及び第2のサイドハウジングをさらに有する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記サイドハウジングのうちの少なくとも一方が、前記内ハウジング及び前記外ハウジングのうちの少なくとも一方に対して回転する、請求項4に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記排気口が、前記外ハウジングの上壁に形成されている、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記包囲空間内の流れに対して接線方向に前記包囲空間内から前記外ハウジングの外側まで延在する排気ダクトをさらに有する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記包囲空間の断面とほぼ同じ断面を有して前記包囲空間内から前記外ハウジングの外側まで延在する排気ダクトをさらに有する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記少なくとも2つの障壁が、少なくとも2つの収納可能障壁を有する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記外ハウジングと前記内ハウジングが、互いに反対方向に回転する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記障壁のうちの少なくとも1つが、前記サイドハウジングのうちの一方に装着される、請求項4に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記少なくとも1つの収納可能障壁は、遠心力及び前記障壁の慣性の双方又はいずれかにより、突出位置と収納位置の間で旋回する、請求項1に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- ロータリー内燃エンジンにおいて、
外ハウジングと、前記外ハウジング内に配置された内ハウジングと、を備え、前記外ハウジング及び前記内ハウジングのうちの少なくとも一方が他方に対して回転可能でありかつ駆動部品を具備し、かつ、前記外ハウジングの内周面と前記内ハウジングの外周面の間に形成された包囲空間を備え、
前記包囲空間内に配置された少なくとも2つの障壁を備え、前記障壁のうちの少なくとも1つが前記障壁のうちの別の少なくとも1つに対して回転可能であり、前記障壁のうちの少なくとも1つは旋回軸に装着された収納可能障壁であり、少なくとも1つの前記収納可能障壁が前記包囲空間内に突出する突出位置と前記突出位置から引っ込む収納位置の間で旋回可能であり、前記収納可能障壁が前記突出位置にあるとき前記包囲空間が少なくとも2つの室に分割され、
燃焼流体を前記少なくとも2つの室のうちの1つに導入するための吸気口と、
前記少なくとも2つの室のうちの別の1つから軸回りに排気するために前記外ハウジングの上壁に形成された排気口と、を備えた
ロータリー内燃エンジン。 - 前記包囲空間内の流れに対して接線方向に前記包囲空間内から前記外ハウジングの外側まで延在する排気ダクトをさらに有する、請求項13に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記包囲空間の断面とほぼ同じ断面を有して前記包囲空間内から前記外ハウジングの外側まで延在する排気ダクトをさらに有する、請求項13に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記外ハウジングと前記内ハウジングが、互いに反対方向に回転する、請求項13に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記外ハウジングの対向する側面に配置された第1及び第2のサイドハウジングをさらに有する、請求項13に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- 前記少なくとも2つの障壁が、少なくとも2つの収納可能障壁を有する、請求項13に記載のロータリー内燃エンジン。
- ロータリー内燃エンジンにて燃料を燃焼させる方法において、
燃焼室を拡大させるために駆動部品を回転させるとともに前記燃焼室を排気室からほぼ隔絶させ、さらに、燃焼室が拡大しているとき、燃焼流体及び燃料を燃焼室に導入しかつ燃焼させる、燃料燃焼方法。 - 燃焼中に、前記燃焼室が前記排気室からほぼ隔絶されている、請求項19に記載の燃料燃焼方法。
- 導入及び燃焼中に、前記燃焼室が拡大し続ける、請求項19に記載の燃料燃焼方法。
- 仕事を発生させるために、排気室を出る排気ガスを利用する、請求項19に記載の燃料燃焼方法。
- 前記ロータリー内燃エンジンが、エネルギーを利用し、エネルギーを貯蔵し、エネルギーを再生し、かつ、セルフスタートを容易とする、請求項19に記載の燃料燃焼方法。
