Claims (5)
- フュージョンプロセスでの使用に適した構造を有する本体部を備えたアイソパイプであって、前記本体部が、
第1の耐火性材料から作られたコア、
前記コアの少なくとも一部を覆う、第2の耐火性材料から作られた最外層、
を備えていることを特徴とするアイソパイプ。 - 前記コアと前記最外層との間に設けられた少なくとも1つの中間層をさらに備え、該中間層が第3の耐火性材料から作られたものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアイソパイプ。
- 前記第1の耐火性材料が、前記第2の耐火性材料よりも、前記フュージョンプロセスにより製造されるガラス内で溶け易いものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアイソパイプ。
- 複数の連続的中間層をさらに備え、中間層それぞれが、前記第1および第2の耐火性材料の複合混合物である、異なった耐火性組成を有するものであり、各中間連続層における前記第1の耐火性材料の濃度がコアから減少し、一方各中間連続層における前記第2の耐火性材料の濃度がコアから増加することを特徴とする請求項2記載のアイソパイプ。
- ガラスシートを製造するフュージョンプロセスにおいて用いられるアイソパイプの撓みを減少させる方法であって、
第1の耐火性材料のブロックを作製する工程、
前記ブロックからアイソパイプのコアを機械加工する工程、
前記コアを、第2の耐火性材料とバインダとを含むスラリーで被覆する工程、および
前記スラリーを、気孔を除去し、前記バインダを燃焼除去し、かつ前記第2の耐火性材料を緻密化するために、適切な温度に加熱する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
