Abstract
Description
から実質的に構成される複合材料が提供され、ここで、焼結助剤の量は、組成物の総重量の酸化物に基づいた重量%である。
(i)少なくとも1μmの平均粒径を有するジルコン粉末、ある実施の形態では少なくとも3μm、ある実施の形態では少なくとも5μm、ある実施の形態では少なくとも7μm、ある実施の形態では少なくとも8μmである、ジルコン粉末を提供する工程と、
(ii)焼結助剤または、以下に示す量のタイプI,タイプIIおよびタイプIII、およびそれらの組合せから選択される焼結助剤前駆体:
を提供する工程と、
(iii)前記ジルコン粉末と焼結助剤またはそれらの前駆体とを混合して、焼結助剤が実質的に均一に分布した混合物を得る工程と、
(iv)前記混合物を加圧して予備成形物を得る工程と、
(v)前記予備成形物を高温で焼結して焼結物品を得る工程と、
を有してなる方法が提供される。
Claims (14)
- 結晶粒界の孔隙率が15体積%未満であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の複合材料。
- クリープ率が0.5×10-6・時間-1未満であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の複合材料。
- TiO2を焼結助剤として含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- Y2O3を0.0〜0.5重量%含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜4いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- TiO2を単一のタイプIIの助剤として含み、Y2O3を単一のタイプIIIの助剤として含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜5いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 前記助剤によって境界されたZrSO4粒子を含み、
前記ZrSO4粒子が、少なくとも1μmの平均粒径を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜6いずれか1項記載の複合材料。 - 前記ZrSO4粒子が10μm以下の平均粒径を有することを特徴とする請求項7記載の複合材料。
- タイプIの助剤を実質的に含まないことを特徴とする請求項1〜8いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 前記タイプIの助剤が、ジルコンの溶融温度よりも少なくとも100℃低い溶融温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜9いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 前記タイプIIIの助剤が、1800℃を超える溶融温度を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜10いずれか1項記載の複合材料。
- 工程(i)における前記ジルコン粒子の平均粒径が10μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項12記載の方法。
- 工程(v)における前記高温が約1400℃〜1800℃であることを特徴とする請求項12または13記載の方法。
