Abstract
【解決手段】座部シートにおける車両前後方向に直線に延びる中心線2を挟む左右で対称なループ形状の電極パターン14が形成された静電センサ12を備える。この静電センサ12は、車両前後方向の中心線2の左右で電極パターン14の抵抗値が同等とされている。静電センサ12に、乗員検知ECU11から発生される正弦波SCを印加した際に、電極パターン14と車両接地部に導通する車両ボディとの間に発生する微弱電界の乱れを電流として乗員検知ECU11へ出力する。乗員検知ECU11は、その静電センサ12からの電流を電圧値に変換し、この電圧値から座部シート上の乗員等の検出物の判別を行う。

Description
この構成によれば、調整用抵抗要素が電極なので、ループ形状の電極への付加を容易に行うことができる。

Claims (4)
- 車両の座部シートに内蔵されたループ形状の電極を備え、この電極への所定電圧の印加時に当該電極と車両ボディの少なくとも一部との間に発生する微弱電界を検出する静電センサにおいて、
前記電極は、当該電極の抵抗値が車両前後方向に直線に延びる静電センサの中心線を挟む左右で同等に形成されていることを特徴とする静電センサ。 - 前記電極の抵抗値が前記中心線を挟む左右で異なる場合に、その中心線を挟む左右における抵抗値が低い側の電極に、これと対向する側の電極の抵抗値と同等となるように調整用抵抗要素を付加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の静電センサ。
- 前記調整用抵抗要素は電極であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の静電センサ。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の静電センサと、この静電センサへの交流電圧信号の印加時に当該静電センサから出力される電流を電圧値に変換し、この電圧値から座部シート上の検出物の判別を行う電子制御ユニットとを備えることを特徴とする静電式乗員検知装置。
