  1. ドーパント材料とホスト材料とを含む活性層であって、前記ホスト材料が、少なくとも99.9%のHPLC純度および0.01以下の不純物吸光度(460〜1000nmの範囲について、UV−Vis分光計を用いる測定で、THF中における材料の3.33%(wt/vol)溶液の最大吸光度)を有する光活性層であって、
