Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 脆性材料のシートを耐久試験する方法であって、
前記シートに湾曲部を形成するステップと、
前記湾曲部が前記シートを横切るように前記シートと前記湾曲部との間に相対動作を生成するステップと、
を含み、前記湾曲部により前記シートの表面に誘発される引張応力は、予め決められた強度値に対応し、当該予め決められた強度値よりも大きな強度を有するシートを検出することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記湾曲部を形成するステップは、円筒形部材に沿って前記シートを曲げるステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複数の円筒形部材に沿って前記シートを曲げ、複数の湾曲部を形成するステップをさらに含み、前記複数の円筒形部材は前記シートの表面及び裏面に交互に接触することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記円筒形部材はローラであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の円筒形部材は複数のローラを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記円筒形部材は前記シートの中央部に接触しないことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記円筒形部材は前記シートの幅全体に亘って延在することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 脆性材料の前記シートはガラス又はガラスセラミックを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記シートの破壊は音声センサにより検出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記円筒形部材の曲率半径は約20cmより小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記シートはポリマ層によりコーティングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- ガラスシートを耐久試験する方法であって、
少なくとも1つのローラに沿って前記ガラスシートを曲げ、前記シートを曲げて予め決められた強度値に対応する引張応力を前記シートの表面に生成するステップと、
前記シートの連続した部分が前記引張応力を受けて、前記予め決められた強度値よりも大きな強度を有するシートを検出するように前記シートと少なくとも1つのローラとの間に相対動作を生成するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記ガラスシートは、約0.4mm未満の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記引張応力は少なくとも約50MPaであることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つのローラは、前記ガラスシートの表面及び裏面に交互に接触する複数のローラを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 脆性材料のシートを耐久試験する装置であって、
前記シートに接触し且つ脆性材料の前記シートに湾曲部を形成する少なくとも1つの円筒形部材を含み、前記少なくとも1つの円筒形部材の曲率半径は、前記湾曲部により誘発される前記シートの表面における引張応力が予め決められた強度値に対応し、前記予め決められた値より大きな強度を有するシートを検出するように選択されることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記円筒形部材はローラであることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの円筒形部材は複数の円筒形部材を含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の円筒形部材は複数のローラであることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の装置。
- 前記複数の円筒形部材は前記シートの中央部に接触しないことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の装置。
