Abstract
Description
(a)下記式(I)に示す化学的骨格を使用するフラボノン(例えばヘスペレチン、ナリンゲニン、エリオジクチオル)、
本発明のポリフェノールは、数多くの健康上の有益性を示すことが立証されている。例えば、疫学的研究は、高フラボノイド摂取量が、CVDの危険性低下につながることを示唆しており(Artsら(2001) Epidemiology 12(6):668−675、Sessoら Am.J.Clin.Nutr 77:1400−8、Minkら(2007) Am.Clin.Nutr 85(3):895−909)、これは、フラボノイドの、ヒトの内皮機能を改良し、血小板凝固を抑制する能力の結果であろう(Keenら (2005) Am.J.Clin.Nutr 81(上記): 298S−303S、Vita J A(2005) Am.J.Clin.Nutr 81(上記): 292S−7S、Heptinstallら(2006) J Cardiovasc Pharmacol 47 Suppl 2: S197−205)。
組合せ治療
従って、本発明は、上記のリンゴを得る方法であって、レッド−スルーナシ状果実(red−through pome fruit)をリンゴと交配させる工程を含んでなる、方法を提供する。
(1)総ポリフェノール含有量10,000〜20,000mg/kg、より典型的には12,000〜14,000mg/kg(新鮮重量ベースで)を特徴とする果実、
(2)総ポリフェノール含有量20,000〜100,000mg/kg、より典型的には15,000〜40,000mg/kg(新鮮重量ベースで)を特徴とする果実、および
(3)総ポリフェノール含有量10,000mg/kgまで、より典型的には9,000〜10,000mg/kg(新鮮重量ベースで)までを特徴とする果実、
に分類できるまで、ポリフェノール調整を行うべきである。
本発明の一実施態様においては、本発明の高分子量ポリフェノールは、他のプレバイオティック試剤、例えば単糖、二糖および多糖類、との組合せで使用することができる。従って、本発明の別の態様では、一種以上の高分子量ポリフェノールおよび一種以上の単糖、二糖または多糖を含んでなるプレバイオティック組成物を提供する。好適な糖類は、下記式(XI)に示す構造を有するオリゴフルクトースである。
ホーソーン(Crataegus oxyacantha)から得た果実をクラブアップル(Malus)と上記のように交配させた。得られた果実を、ポリフェノール含有量について調査し、結果を、市販のリンゴと比較して表1に示す。
10名の健康な志願者を募集し、本発明の方法により得たエピカテキン抽出物の、血管音、従って、心臓血管機能を改善する手段としての効果を試験した。5名の志願者にプラセボフルーツ飲料を与え、5名の志願者に同じ試験飲料であるが、1mg/kg体重((−)−エピカテキン単位に対して)を加えたものを与えた。血管音は、非侵襲的デジタル血量測定法により得た反射率およびデジタル体積パルスの連続的な、試験者に依存しない、自動分析に対するアルゴリズムにより連続的に定量した。データは、相対剛性率SI(m/s)として表し、血管の年齢と相関させた。パルス波は、指髄(finger pulp)を通した赤色および赤外光の透過率により測定した。第一導関数の局所的最小値を決定し、それによって、対応するパルスの変わり目(=変曲点)を求めた。反射率は、変わり目(=変曲点)後の第三〜第七データ点の平均から計算した。
Claims (26)
- 総ポリフェノール含有量が10000mg/kgを超えるリンゴ。
- 総ポリフェノール含有量が10000〜100000mg/kgである、請求項1に記載のリンゴ。
- 総ポリフェノール含有量が10000〜50000mg/kgである、請求項1または2に記載のリンゴ。
- 前記リンゴが、レッド−カットスルーリンゴを含んでなる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ。
- 前記ポリフェノールがフラボノイドを含んでなる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ。
- 前記フラボノイドがフラバン−3−オールおよびプロアントシアニジンを含んでなる、請求項5に記載のリンゴ。
- 低分子量ポリフェノールが、前記総ポリフェノール含有量の22%強を構成する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ。
- 低分子量ポリフェノールが、前記総ポリフェノール含有量の22%〜40%を構成する、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ。
- 前記低分子量ポリフェノールが、前記総ポリフェノール含有量の22%〜40%を構成し、前記低分子量ポリフェノールの少なくとも85%、例えば少なくとも90%、例えば少なくとも95%、例えば少なくとも99%が、前記式(V)aの化合物を含んでなる、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴから製造されたポリフェノールを含んでなるリンゴ抽出物。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴから製造されたポリフェノール単離物。
- 心臓血管病または結腸癌の予防または治療用の薬剤の製造に使用するための、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴ、リンゴ抽出物、またはポリフェノール単離物。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のリンゴを得る方法であって、レッド−スルーナシ状果実をリンゴと交配させる工程を含んでなる、方法。
- 前記レッド−スルーナシ状果実がホーソーンであり、前記リンゴがクラブアップルである、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 請求項12に記載のリンゴ抽出物、および/または請求項13に記載のポリフェノール単離物および一種以上のプレバイオティック試剤を含んでなるプレバイオティック組成物。
- 請求項12に記載のリンゴ抽出物、および/または請求項13に記載のポリフェノール単離物を含んでなる剤形。
- 心臓血管病の治療用薬剤の製造で使用するための、一種以上の低分子量ポリフェノール、または薬学的に許容され得る塩、もしくはそれらのプロドラッグ、および一種以上の薬学的に許容され得るキャリヤー、添加剤、または希釈剤を含んでなる、請求項13に記載のポリフェノール単離物を含んでなる剤形。
- 結腸癌の治療用薬剤の製造で使用するための、一種以上の高分子量ポリフェノール、または薬学的に許容され得る塩、もしくはそれらのプロドラッグ、および一種以上の薬学的に許容され得るキャリヤー、添加剤、または希釈剤を含んでなる、請求項13に記載のポリフェノール単離物を含んでなる剤形。
- 請求項12に記載のリンゴ抽出物、および/または請求項13に記載のポリフェノール単離物を含んでなる食用組成物。
- 他の栄養、例えばビタミン、ミネラル、およびプレバイオティックおよびプロバイオティックをさらに含んでなる、請求項21に記載の食用組成物。
- 飲料、例えば果実ジュース、スポーツドリンク、ヨーグルトドリンクおよびミルクドリンクまたは固体食品、例えば食品スナックバー、例えばフルーツバー、ナッツバーおよび穀類バー、穀類、デザートである、請求項21または22に記載の食用組成物。
- 液体剤形として処方される、請求項23に記載の食用組成物。
- 前記液体剤形が、粘稠化剤、等張化剤、緩衝剤をさらに含んでなる、請求項24に記載の食用組成物。
