Abstract
【解決手段】(a)バインダー樹脂、および(b)溶剤を含有し、かつ特定構造のトリアリールメタン系染料を含むことを特徴とするカラーフィルタ用含染料青色着色組成物であり、染料の質量濃度が0.1%ないし20%であることを特徴とするカラーフィルタ用含染料青色着色組成物。

Description
前記一般式(1)のR1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6は、それぞれ独立に水素原子、無置換の炭素数1〜6のアルキル基、無置換のフェニル基、又は無置換のベンジル基を表し、R7、R8、R9、R10、R11、R12、R13、R14、R15、R16、R17、R18、R19、R20は、それぞれ独立に水素原子、塩素原子、又は炭素数1〜6の無置換のアルキル基を表すものであることが望ましい。
上記一般式(1)のR1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6において、置換基を有してもよい炭素数1〜6のアルキル基としては、例えばメチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、ブチル基、イソブチル基、ペンチル基、シクロペンチル基、ヘキシル基、シクロヘキシル基、ヒドロキシエチル基、ヒドロキシプロピル基、2−スルホエチル基、カルボキシエチル基、シアノエチル基、メトキシエチル基、エトキシエチル基、ブトキシエチル基、トリフルオロメチル基、ペンタフルオロエチル基等が挙げられる。
[製造例1]
青色染料(C.I.Basic Blue 7、東京化成工業社製)2部を水150部に溶解し、攪拌しながら、アセトニトリル30部にトリストリフルオロメタンスルホニウムメチドのセシウム塩2.1部を溶解させた溶液を加えた。3時間攪拌した後、析出した結晶をろ取、水洗、乾燥し、青色の結晶1.5部を得た。
[製造例1]
[青色顔料]
青色顔料(C.I. Pigment Blue 15:6、東洋インキ製造社製「LIONOL BLUE ES」;B−1)200部、塩化ナトリウム1600部、およびジエチレングリコール(東京化成社製)100部をステンレス製1ガロンニーダー(井上製作所社製)に仕込み、70℃で12時間混練した。次に、この混合物を約5リットルの温水に投入し、約70℃に加熱しながらハイスピードミキサーで約1時間撹拌してスラリー状とした後、濾過し、水洗して塩化ナトリウム及びジエチレングリコールを除き、80℃で24時間乾燥し、198部のソルトミリング処理顔料(青色顔料)を得た。
[紫色顔料]
紫色顔料(C.I. Pigment Violet 23、東洋インキ製造社製「LIONOGEN VIOLET RL」;V−1)300部を96%硫酸3000部に投入し1時間撹拌した後、5℃の水に注入した。1時間撹拌した後、濾過し、温水で洗浄液が中性になるまで洗浄し、70℃で乾燥した。得られたアシッドペースティング処理顔料を200部、塩化ナトリウム1600部、およびジエチレングリコール(東京化成社製)100部をステンレス製1ガロンニーダー(井上製作所社製)に仕込み、90℃で6時間混練した。
以下に、実施例及び比較例で用いたアクリル樹脂溶液の調製について説明する。樹脂の分子量は、GPC(ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィ)により測定したポリスチレン換算の重量平均分子量である。
下記表1に示す組成の混合物を均一に撹拌混合し、直径1mmのジルコニアビーズを用いて、アイガーミル(アイガージャパン社製「ミニモデルM-250 MKII」)で3時間分散した後、5μmのフィルタで濾過して、顔料分散体BP−1,VP−1を得た。下記表1には各顔料分散体中の顔料の含有率も併記した。
[実施例1]
下記組成の混合物を均一になるように攪拌混合した後、5μmのフィルターで濾過して色材としてBD−1のみを含む青色着色組成物RB−2を得た。
アクリル樹脂溶液(P) 38.4質量部
光重合性モノマー 7.7質量部
(東亞合成株式会社製 「アロニックスM402」)
光重合開始剤 3.4質量部
(チバガイギー社製「イルガキュア−379」)
光増感剤(保土ヶ谷化学社製「EAB−F」) 0.4質量部
シクロヘキサノン 49.3質量部
[実施例2〜5、比較例1〜7]
染料、顔料分散体、樹脂に、下記表2に記載の染料、顔料分散体と樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして着色組成物RB−1、PB−3〜RB−5(実施例2〜5)、RB−6〜RB−12(比較例1〜7)を得た。なお、表2では、実施例1に係るRB−2も併せて示した。
[色度及び透過率]
青色着色組成物RB−1〜RB−12を、硬化後の膜厚が2μmとなるように、スピンコート法によりガラス基板に塗布し、乾燥した後、超高圧水銀ランプを用いて紫外線で露光した。その後、この基板を180℃で20分間熱処理して青色着色膜を得た。
上記表2に示した着色組成物をスピンコート法によりガラス基板に塗工した後、クリーンオーブン中で、70℃で1分間プリベークした。次いで、この基板を室温に冷却した後、超高圧水銀ランプを用い、紫外線を全面露光した。その後、この基板を23℃の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液を用いてスプレー現像した後、イオン交換水で洗浄し、風乾した。その後、クリーンオーブン中で、180℃で20分間ポストベークを行い、青色塗膜を得た。乾燥塗膜の膜厚は、いずれも2.0μmであった。
上記表2に示した着色組成物の耐熱性を以下のようにして評価した。
上記表2に示した各青色着色組成物の感度を以下のようにして評価した。
実施例3に係る青色着色組成物を用いて得た青色画素を有するカラーフィルタを作成し、その上に透明ITO電極層を形成し、更にその上にポリイミド配向層を形成した。このガラス基板の他方の表面に偏光板を形成した。他方、別の(第2の)ガラス基板の一方の表面にTFTアレイおよび画素電極を形成し、他方の表面に偏光板を形成した。
実施例1に係る青色着色組成物を用いて得た青色画素を有するカラーフィルタを作成し、これを用いてELパネルを作製した。
Claims (7)
- 前記一般式(1)のR1、R2、R3、R4、R5、R6は、それぞれ独立に水素原子、無置換の炭素数1〜6のアルキル基、無置換のフェニル基、又は無置換のベンジル基を表し、R7、R8、R9、R10、R11、R12、R13、R14、R15、R16、R17、R18、R19、R20は、それぞれ独立に水素原子、塩素原子、又は炭素数1〜6の無置換のアルキル基を表すことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラーフィルタ用含染料青色着色組成物。
- 前記トリアリールメタン系染料の青色着色組成物中における質量濃度が0.1%ないし20%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカラーフィルタ用含染料青色着色組成物。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の含染料青色着色組成物を硬化して得た青色画素を含むことを特徴とするカラーフィルタ。
- 前記青色画素が、0.1μmないし5.0μmの膜厚を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のカラーフィルタ。
- 請求項4又は5に記載のカラーフィルタであって、前記青色画素のXYZ表色系色度が、0.12≦x≦0.18、0.08≦y≦0.18、Y≧13であるカラーフィルタを具備することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項4又は5に記載のカラーフィルタであって、前記青色画素の600nmにおける透過率が10%以下であり、且つ450nmにおける透過率が90%以上であるカラーフィルタを具備することを特徴とする有機ELディスプレイ。
