Abstract
【解決手段】ニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物は、アクリル酸系多官能化合物やメタクリル酸系多官能化合物等の架橋剤およびカーボン材等の導電材の存在下で2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−4−ピペリジニル(メタ)アクリレートで例示されるイミノ基を含んだ化合物を重合することにより得られる架橋重合体組成物をニトロキシド化する。

Description
本発明の架橋重合体組成物は、下記の一般式(1)で表わされるイミノ化合物を架橋剤および導電材の存在下で重合することにより得られるものである。
本発明のニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物は、上述の製造方法により得られる架橋重合体組成物(以下、「前駆体組成物」という場合がある)をニトロキシド化することにより得られるものである。
本発明の二次電池用電極は、本発明のニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を活物質として用いたものであり、当該ニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を集電体に結着させたものである。
攪拌機、窒素ガス導入管、温度計および還流冷却管を備えた200mL容の4つ口フラスコに、ポリビニルアルコール(クラレ株式会社の商品名「ポバールPVA420」:重合度2,000、けん化度78〜81mol%)1.5gおよび水150gを仕込んだ。そして、攪拌下において90℃で4時間かけてポリビニルアルコールを溶解した後、25℃まで冷却し、ポリビニルアルコール溶解液を得た。
攪拌機、窒素ガス導入管、温度計、還流冷却管および滴下ロートを備えた500mL容の4つ口フラスコに、実施例1において得られた架橋重合体組成物6.2g、タングステン酸ナトリウム・二水和物0.45g(1.36ミリモル)およびメタノール142.5gを仕込み、80℃に保持して架橋重合体組成物を均一に分散させた。そして、4つ口フラスコに窒素ガスを通じて反応系内の酸素を除去した後、攪拌下で30%過酸化水素溶液63.0g(0.56モル)を4時間かけて滴下した。滴下終了後、引き続き、攪拌下において80℃で3時間保持し、ニトロキシド化反応を完結させた。
エチレングリコールジメタクリレート0.11gおよびVGCF0.6gを用いない点を除いて実施例1と同様に操作し、重合体を得た。そして、この重合体の全量を実施例2と同様の方法でニトロキシド化し、赤色粉体のニトロキシドラジカル重合体5.2gを得た。
ニトロキシドラジカル重合体、n−ヘキサンおよびVGCFを混合する操作においてn−ヘキサン13.1gをテトラヒドロフラン17.8gに変更した点を除き、比較例1と同様に操作してニトロキシドラジカル重合体組成物1.07gを得た。
VGCF0.6gを用いない点を除いて実施例1と同様に操作し、架橋重合体を得た。そして、この架橋重合体の全量を実施例2と同様の方法でニトロキシド化し、赤色粉体のニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体6.0gを得た。
攪拌機、窒素ガス導入管、温度計および還流冷却管を備えた200mL容の4つ口フラスコに、2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−4−ピペリジニルメタクリレート6.0g(27ミリモル)、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート0.11g(0.54ミリモル)およびトルエン26.0gを仕込み、均一溶液を得た。そして、4つ口フラスコに窒素ガスを通じて反応系内の酸素を除去した後、重合開始剤としてα,α’−アゾビスイソブチロニトリル0.04g(0.24ミリモル)を加え、攪拌下において60℃で4時間反応させた。反応終了後、VGCF(昭和電工株式会社の商品名「VGCF−H」)0.6gを添加し、均一に分散するまで撹拌して混合溶液とした。
実施例2および比較例1〜4で得られた組成物の体積抵抗値を測定した。ここでは、組成物0.1gを精秤して直径13mmの金型に入れ、油圧プレスを用いて400kgf/cm2の圧力を1分間加えて加圧成型することで錠剤を得た。そして、低抵抗率計(三菱化学株式会社の商品名「ロレスターEP」)を用い、得られた錠剤の体積抵抗率(Ω・cm)を四深針法により測定した。この際、体積抵抗率の算出に必要な錠剤の厚み値は、マイクロメータ(株式会社ミツトヨ社の商品名「デジマチック標準外側マイクロメータ」)により錠剤の直径上の3点を測定し、その平均値を用いた。また、抵抗率補正係数は初期設定の4.532を用いた。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2において得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物をめのう乳鉢を用いて粉砕し、粒径を100μm以下に調整した。この粉砕されたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物0.5g、溶媒であるN−メチルピロリドン10gおよびバインダーであるポリフッ化ビニリデン0.1gを混合、攪拌し、黒色のスラリーを得た。
実施例2において得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を比較例1において得られたニトロキシドラジカル重合体組成物に変更した点を除いて実施例3と同様に操作し、二次電池用電極を得た。
実施例2において得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を比較例3において得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物に変更した点を除いて実施例3と同様に操作し、二次電池用電極を得た。
実施例2において得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を比較例4により得られたニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物に変更した点を除いて実施例3と同様に操作し、二次電池用電極を得た。
実施例3および比較例5〜7で得られた二次電池用電極について、下記の方法で膜厚の測定、ジエチルカーボネートへの溶出試験および体積抵抗率(Ω・cm)の測定をした。結果を表2に示す。
マイクロメータ(株式会社ミツトヨの商品名「デジマチック標準外側マイクロメータ」)を用いて測定した。
[ジエチルカーボネートへの溶出試験]
ジエチルカーボネート20mLを入れた50mL容のサンプル瓶に二次電池用電極を添加し、室温で24時間撹拌した後の状態を目視により観察した。次に、サンプル瓶の内容物をろ過して残査とろ液とに分離し、ろ液中のジエチルカーボネートを留去する事で二次電池用電極からの溶出分を取得した。得られた溶出分の質量を測定し、以下の計算式により溶出度を算出した。
低抵抗率計(三菱化学株式会社の商品名「ロレスターEP」)を用い、四深針法にて測定した。
Claims (10)
- 前記架橋剤がエチレングリコールジアクリレート、エチレングリコールジメタクリレート、ジエチレングリコールジアクリレート、ジエチレングリコールジメタクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート、1,4−ブタンジオールジアクリレート、1,4−ブタンジオールジメタクリレート、1,6−ヘキサンジオールジアクリレート、1,6−ヘキサンジオールジメタクリレート、1,8−オクタンジオールジアクリレート、1,8−オクタンジオールジメタクリレート、1,9−ノナンジオールジアクリレートおよび1,9−ノナンジオールジメタクリレートからなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載の架橋重合体組成物。
- 前記架橋剤の使用量は、前記イミノ化合物1モルに対して0.00001〜0.25モルに設定されている、請求項1または2に記載の架橋重合体組成物。
- 前記導電材がカーボン材料である、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の架橋重合体組成物。
- 前記カーボン材料が気相成長炭素繊維、アセチレンブラックおよびケッチェンブラックからなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種である、請求項4に記載の架橋重合体組成物。
- 前記導電材の使用量は、前記イミノ化合物100質量部に対して5〜60質量部に設定されている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の架橋重合体組成物。
- 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の架橋重合体組成物をニトロキシド化することにより得られるニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物。
- 請求項7に記載のニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物からなる二次電池用活物質。
- 請求項7に記載のニトロキシドラジカル架橋重合体組成物を含む二次電池用電極。
- 請求項9に記載の二次電池用電極を備えた二次電池。
