Abstract
【解決手段】天然ゴムの主鎖に水酸基が直接結合する改質天然ゴムと、加硫剤とを含有するタイヤ用ゴム組成物。

Description
上記改質天然ゴムの含有量が、ゴム成分100質量%中、20質量%以上であることが好ましい。
本発明はまた、上記ゴム組成物を用いて作製したタイヤに関する。
なお、上記水酸基化率及びエポキシ化率は、後述の実施例に記載の方法にて測定できる。
なお、上記改質天然ゴムは、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
また、エポキシ化天然ゴム(ENR)としては、市販のENRを用いてもよいし、天然ゴム(NR)をエポキシ化して用いてもよい。NRをエポキシ化する方法としては特に限定されず、例えば、クロルヒドリン法、直接酸化法、過酸化水素法、アルキルヒドロペルオキシド法、過酸法などの方法を用いて行うことができる(特公平4−26617号公報、特開平2−110182号公報、UK Patent GB2113692、等)。過酸法としては、例えば、NRに過酢酸や過蟻酸などの有機過酸を反応させる方法などが挙げられる。
加硫促進剤としては、スルフェンアミド系、チアゾール系、チウラム系、チオウレア系、グアニジン系、ジチオカルバミン酸系、アルデヒド−アミン系、アルデヒド−アンモニア系、イミダゾリン系、キサンテート系加硫促進剤等が挙げられる。なかでも、架橋反応性に優れる点からスルフェンアミド系加硫促進剤が好ましい。

ステアリン酸:日油(株)製ステアリン酸
酸化亜鉛:三井金属鉱業(株)製の酸化亜鉛2号
硫黄:鶴見化学工業(株)製の粉末硫黄
加硫促進剤:大内振興化学工業(株)製のノクセラーNS(N−tert−ブチル−2−ベンゾチアゾリルスルフェンアミド)
5000mlのガラス反応容器に温度計及びフッ化炭素樹脂羽根の機械攪拌機を取り付けて温度制御可能な浴槽中に設置し、これを反応器とした。トルエンに天然ゴム100質量部を溶解させた後、酸触媒(パラトルエンスルホン酸)及び水をそれぞれ2質量部、20質量部添加した。溶液を激しく攪拌しながら反応溶液を反応溶液の還流温度に保ちつつ、5時間攪拌させた。反応溶液をメタノールにより凝固させて水洗後、50〜60℃で6時間の真空乾燥を行うことにより、水酸基化率1%の水酸基化天然ゴムaを得た。
酸触媒及び水の添加量をそれぞれ10質量部、80質量部に変更した以外は、製造例1の水酸基化天然ゴムaの調製と同様の操作により、水酸基化天然ゴムbを得た。
酸触媒及び水の添加量をそれぞれ19質量部、100質量部に変更した以外は、製造例1の水酸基化天然ゴムaの調製と同様の操作により、水酸基化天然ゴムcを得た。
天然ゴムの代わりにエポキシ化天然ゴムを用いた以外は、製造例1の水酸基化天然ゴムaの調製と同様の操作により、水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムAを得た。
酸触媒及び水の添加量をそれぞれ5質量部、80質量部に変更した以外は、製造例4の水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムAの調製と同様の操作により、水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムBを得た。
酸触媒及び水の添加量をそれぞれ10質量部、100質量部に変更した以外は、製造例4の水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムAの調製と同様の操作により、水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムCを得た。
得られた乾燥ゴムを重水素化クロロホルムに溶解し、核磁気共鳴(NMR)分光分析により、炭素−炭素二重結合部と脂肪族部の積分値h(ppm)の比から以下の算出式を用いてエポキシ化率を算出した。その変化率と全反射フーリエ変換赤外分光法(ATR−FTIR)による水酸基の吸収ピーク(3400cm−1)の変化率から水酸基化率を算出した。
(エポキシ化率E%)=3×h(2.69)/(3×h(2.69)+3×h(5.14)+h(0.87))×100
調製した水酸基化天然ゴムa〜cの水酸基化率、水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムA〜Cの水酸基化率、エポキシ化率を表1〜2に示した。
また、上記分析により、水酸基化天然ゴムa〜cが上記式(1)及び(2)で表される構成単位を有していること、水酸基化エポキシ化天然ゴムA〜Cが上記式(1)、(2)及び(5)で表される構成単位を有していることが観測された。
<評価試料の作成>
表3〜6の配合処方に従い、(株)東洋精機製作所製の250ccラボプラストミルを用いて硫黄、加硫促進剤以外の薬品を混練りした後、オープンロールを用いて、硫黄、加硫促進剤を混練した。得られた未加硫ゴム組成物を160℃、20分プレス加硫することにより評価用試料を得た。
得られた評価用試料を使用して、下記の評価1〜4を行った。それぞれの試験結果を表3〜6に示す。
(転がり抵抗指数)
(株)岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、温度70℃、初期歪み10%、動歪み2%、周波数10Hzの条件下で、評価用試料の損失正接(tanδ)を測定し、比較例1の転がり抵抗指数を100として、下記計算式により算出した。転がり抵抗指数が大きいほど、転がり抵抗が低減され、好ましいことを示す。
(転がり抵抗指数)=((比較例1のtanδ)/(各配合のtanδ))×100
ランボーン摩耗試験機((株)岩本製作所製)により、スリップ率20%、試験時間5分の条件で、各評価用試料の容積損失量を測定した。比較例1の耐摩耗性指数を100として、下記計算式により各配合の容積損失量を指数表示した。耐摩耗性指数が大きいほど耐摩耗性に優れている。

比較例2の転がり抵抗指数を100とした以外は、前記と同様に算出した。

(株)岩本製作所製の粘弾性スペクトロメーターを用いて、温度0℃、初期歪み10%、動歪み0.5%、周波数10Hzの条件下で、評価用試料の損失正接(tanδ)を測定し、比較例4の転がり抵抗指数を100として、下記計算式により算出した。グリップ指標指数が大きいほど、グリップ性能に優れることを示す。

- 天然ゴムの主鎖に水酸基が直接結合する改質天然ゴムと、加硫剤とを含有するタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
- 改質天然ゴムがエポキシ基を有する請求項1記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
- 改質天然ゴムの水酸基の含有量が、イソプレンユニットに対して、1〜20モル%である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
- 改質天然ゴムの含有量が、ゴム成分100質量%中、20質量%以上である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
- ゴム成分100質量部に対して、シリカを10〜100質量部含有する請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物を用いて作製したタイヤ。
