Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の光学シートは、透明な基材フィルムと、基材フィルムの一方の面に積層される光学層と、基材フィルムの他方の面に積層されるスティッキング防止層とを備える光学シートであって、スティッキング防止層がフィラーとその樹脂製バインダーとを含み、スティッキング防止層の平坦部の平均厚さが50nm以上150nm以下で、フィラーの平均粒子径が70nm以上200nm以下であることを特徴とする。フィラーとして、主成分の小径フィラーと副成分の大径フィラーとを含有し、小径フィラーの平均粒子径を50nm以上150nm以下にするとよい。

Description
透明な基材フィルムと、この基材フィルムの一方の面に積層される光学層と、基材フィルムの他方の面に積層されるスティッキング防止層とを備える光学シートであって、
このスティッキング防止層がフィラーとその樹脂製バインダーとを含み、
スティッキング防止層の平坦部の平均厚さが50nm以上150nm以下で、
フィラーの平均粒子径が70nm以上200nm以下であることを特徴とする光学シートである。
(a)マイクロレンズアレイ23表面の反転形状を有するシート型に合成樹脂及び基材フィルム2をこの順に積層し、シート型を剥がすこと当該光学層21を形成する方法、
(b)シート化された樹脂を再加熱して基材フィルム2と共にマイクロレンズアレイ23表面の反転形状を有する金型と金属板との間にはさんでプレスして形状を転写する方法、
(c)マイクロレンズアレイ23表面の反転形状を周面に有するロール型と他のロールとのニップに溶融状態の樹脂及び基材フィルム2を通し、上記形状を転写する押出しシート成形法、
(d)基材フィルム2に紫外線硬化型樹脂を塗布し、上記と同様の反転形状を有するシート型、金型又はロール型に押さえ付けて未硬化の紫外線硬化型樹脂に形状を転写し、紫外線をあてて紫外線硬化型樹脂を硬化させる方法、
(e)上記と同様の反転形状を有する金型又はロール型に未硬化の紫外線硬化性樹脂を充填塗布し、基材フィルム2で押さえ付けて均し、紫外線をあてて紫外線硬化型樹脂を硬化させる方法、
(f)未硬化(液状)の紫外線硬化型樹脂等を微細なノズルから基材フィルム2上にマイクロレンズ24を形成するよう射出又は吐出し、硬化させる方法、
(g)紫外線硬化型樹脂の代わりに電子線硬化型樹脂を使用する方法
などがある。
ポリエチレンテレフタレート(以下「PET」と称する)をTダイに供給し、押出成形してPETフィルム押出体を形成し、そのPETフィルム押出体をフィルム長手方向に3倍延伸した。次に、固形分換算でポリエステルポリオール(東洋紡績社製の「バイロナール MD1250」)100部、ブロックイソシアネート(第一工業製薬社製の「エラストロンH−3」)120部及び平均粒子径が100nmのコロイダルシリカ50部を含むスティッキング防止層用組成物を調製し、このスティッキング防止層用組成物をロールコート法によりPETフィルム押出体にコーティングし、このスティッキング防止層用組成物層と上記PETフィルム押出体との積層体を形成した。次いで、この積層体をフィルム幅方向に3倍延伸することによって平均厚み188μmの光学シート用基材シート(スティッキング防止層の平均厚み100nm)を得た。これらの工程は全て同一の生産ライン上で連続して行った。
実施例1で用いたものと同じスティッキング防止層用組成物とPETとをそれぞれ多層ダイに供給し、共押出成形することによって、スティッキング防止層用組成物層とPETフィルム押出体からなる共押出成形体を形成した。次いで、この共押出成形体をフィルム長手方向に3倍及びフィルム幅方向に3倍の延伸比で同時二軸延伸することによって平均厚み188μmの光学シート用基材シート(スティッキング防止層の平均厚み100nm)を得た。これらの工程は全て同一の生産ライン上で連続して行った。
基材フィルムとして厚さ188μmの透明ポリエチレンテレフタレート製のフィルム、光学層用組成物として上記実施例1と同様の光学層用組成物、スティッキング防止層用組成物として固形分換算でアクリルポリオール(大日精化工業社製の「RUBメジウムSA」)100部及び硬化剤(日本ポリウレタン社製の「コロネートHX」)5部を含むポリマー組成物中に平均粒子径3μmのアクリル系樹脂ビーズ(積水化成品工業社製の「MBX−3」)1.5部を含む組成物を用いた。この光学層用組成物を基材フィルム表面に15g/m2(固形分換算)積層し、スティッキング防止層用組成物を基材フィルム裏面に3g/m2(固形分換算)積層することで比較例の光学シートを得た。
上記実施例1及び2の光学シートと比較例の光学シートとを用い、これらの光学シートのスティッキング防止性の評価と、全光線透過率、ヘイズ値及び正面輝度相対値の測定とを行った。その結果を下記表1に示す。

Claims (12)
- 透明な基材フィルムと、この基材フィルムの一方の面に積層される光学層と、基材フィルムの他方の面に積層されるスティッキング防止層とを備える光学シートであって、
このスティッキング防止層がフィラーとその樹脂製バインダーとを含み、
スティッキング防止層の平坦部の平均厚さが50nm以上150nm以下で、
フィラーの平均粒子径が70nm以上200nm以下であることを特徴とする光学シート。 - 上記スティッキング防止層の平坦部の平均厚さよりフィラーの平均粒子径が大きい請求項1に記載の光学シート。
- 上記フィラーとして、主成分の小径フィラーと、この小径フィラーより平均粒子径が大きい副成分の大径フィラーとを含有しており、
この小径フィラーの平均粒子径が50nm以上150nm以下である請求項1又は請求項2に記載の光学シート。 - 上記スティッキング防止層におけるフィラーの含有量が20質量%以上50質量%以下である請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載の光学シート。
- 上記バインダーを構成するポリマーが三次元架橋構造を有している請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記バインダーが、アクリルポリオールと硬化剤とを含むポリマー組成物から形成されている請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記フィラーとして、コロイダルシリカが用いられている請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記小径フィラーの粒子径分布の変動係数が20%以下である請求項3から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記スティッキング防止層中に帯電防止剤を分散含有する請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記光学層が、光拡散剤とそのバインダーとを有する請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- 上記光学層が、屈折性を有する微細な凹凸形状を有している請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の光学シート。
- ランプから発せられる光線を分散させて表面側に導く液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニットにおいて、
請求項1から請求項11のいずれか1項に記載の光学シートを備えていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置用のバックライトユニット。
