Abstract
【解決手段】用紙反転経路を含む循環搬送路と、画像形成手段と、画像形成中に印刷用紙を搬送する第1搬送手段と、循環搬送路中の画像形成手段から距離Sの位置に設けられた第2搬送手段と、印刷条件にしたがって第1搬送手段の搬送速度を設定する駆動制御手段と、印刷条件で定められる印刷用紙の長さがS以上であるか、および両面印刷であるかを判定する印刷条件判定手段とを備え、駆動制御手段は、両面印刷と判定された場合に、印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さがS以上と判定されたときは、第2搬送手段の搬送速度を第1搬送手段の搬送速度と同じ速度に設定し、印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さがS未満と判定されたときは、第2搬送手段の搬送速度を第1搬送手段の搬送速度より速く設定する。

Claims (3)
- 用紙の表裏を反転させる用紙反転経路を含む循環搬送路と、
印刷ジョブに基づいて、印刷用紙に対して画像形成を行なう画像形成手段と、
前記画像形成手段による画像形成中に前記印刷用紙を搬送する第1搬送手段と、
前記循環搬送路中の前記画像形成手段から前記循環搬送路に沿って距離Sの位置に設けられた第2搬送手段と、
前記印刷ジョブに係る印刷条件にしたがって前記第1搬送手段による搬送速度を設定する駆動制御手段と、
前記印刷条件で定められる印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さが前記S以上であるか、および両面印刷であるかを判定する印刷条件判定手段とを備え、
前記駆動制御手段は、
前記印刷条件判定手段により両面印刷と判定された場合に、印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さが前記S以上と判定されたときは、前記第2搬送手段による搬送速度を、前記第1搬送手段による搬送速度と同じ速度に設定し、
印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さが前記S未満と判定されたときは、前記第2搬送手段による搬送速度を、前記第1搬送手段による搬送速度より速く設定することを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 請求項1に記載の印刷装置であって、
前記駆動制御手段は、前記印刷条件判定手段により片面印刷と判定された場合は、前記印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さに関わらず、前記第2搬送手段による搬送速度を、前記第1搬送手段による搬送速度と同じ速度に設定することを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 請求項1に記載の印刷装置であって、
印刷ジョブに係るページ単位の画像データを生成し、生成した順に前記画像形成手段に出力する画像処理手段をさらに備え、
前記画像処理手段は、
前記印刷条件判定手段により両面印刷と判定された場合に、印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さが前記S以上と判定されたときは、出力ページ順に表面の画像データ、裏面の画像データを生成し、
印刷用紙の循環搬送路方向の長さが前記S未満と判定されたときは、前ページの裏面の画像データ生成前に、次ページの表面の画像データを生成することを特徴とする印刷装置。
