Abstract
【解決手段】欠陥のある基板112上に、前記欠陥を覆うように復元剤140を注入する段階と、前記復元剤140を硬化させる段階と、前記硬化された復元剤140と前記基板112とが平坦になるように前記硬化された復元剤140を研磨する段階とを含むことを特徴とする基板欠陥の修理方法の提供。

Description
さらに、基板の厚さが著しく薄いと、液晶表示パネルとして使用できないので、液晶表示パネルを廃棄することとなる。ところが、液晶表示パネルは、アレイ基板とカラーフィルター基板とを合着して大部分の段階を完了した状態であるので、廃棄すると、生産費用の損失が増加する原因となる。
液晶表示パネル110は、アレイ基板112及びカラーフィルター基板114が合着され、完成品の水準の段階であって、この段階で廃棄すると、生産費用の損失が大きい。従って、欠陥部位118をできるだけ修理して、完成品として出荷させる。
図2Bに示したように、注入手段120を使用して、ガラス復元剤122を欠陥部位118に注入する。ガラス復元剤122は、欠陥部位118と隣接したアレイ基板112の他の領域まで充分に供給する。ガラス復元剤122には、透明で、流動性が良く、紫外線によって速く硬化されるアクリル樹脂を含む物質を利用する。表1は、ガラス復元剤122の成分及び比率である。
欠陥部位118を修理するために使用されるガラス復元剤122は、アレイ基板112及びカラーフィルター基板114とは異なる物質である。
図5に示したように、研磨手段130は、回転する本体132と本体132の下面に付着する研磨布134とで構成される。

Claims (15)
- 欠陥のある基板上に、前記欠陥を覆うように復元剤を注入する段階と、
前記復元剤を硬化させる段階と、
前記硬化された復元剤と前記基板とが平坦になるように前記硬化された復元剤を研磨する段階と
を含むことを特徴とする基板欠陥の修理方法。 - 前記復元剤の注入段階と前記復元剤の硬化段階との間に、前記復元剤上にフィルムを付着させる段階と、前記復元剤の硬化段階と前記硬化された復元剤の研磨段階との間に、前記フィルムを脱着する段階とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記フィルムは、透明なセロハンフィルムであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記復元剤を硬化させる段階は、前記復元剤上に紫外線を照射する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記紫外線は、3mW/cm2の照度で、3分ないし5分間照射されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記復元剤は、熱によって硬化されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記硬化された復元剤は、研磨手段によって研磨されて、前記研磨手段の硬度は、前記基板の硬度より小さく、前記硬化された復元剤の硬度より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記研磨手段は、剃刀であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記研磨手段は、回転可能な本体と、前記本体に結合される研磨布とで構成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記硬化された復元剤の研磨段階以後、前記基板を洗浄する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記基板は、イソプロピルアルコールによって洗浄されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記復元剤は、2−ヒドロキシルエチル メチルメタクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、トリエチレングリコール ジメタクリレート、光開始剤、及びアクリル酸で構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記2−ヒドロキシルエチル メチルメタクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、トリエチレングリコール ジメタクリレート、光開始剤及びアクリル酸は、各々70〜80重量%、10〜20重量%、0.1〜5重量%、0.1〜3重量%及び0.1〜3重量%であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記基板が10インチモデル基板より小さい場合、前記欠陥の深さは、0.1mm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
- 前記基板が10インチモデル基板である場合、もしくは、前記基板が10インチモデル基板より大きい場合、前記欠陥の深さは、0.2mm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の基板欠陥の修理方法。
