Description
本発明による角錐研磨材複合物と切頭角錐研磨材複合物の網状組織との組み合わせは、典型的には、廃棄物(例えば、削りくず)除去を容易にし、ダストニブを効果的に捕捉し、研磨プロセス中角錐複合物に分布する摩擦圧力の比率を増加させ(特に、手動の研磨プロセスで有用である)、静摩擦を低下させ、研磨プロセス中加工物に激しい擦り傷をもたらす可能性のある付着した硬化研磨材スラリー片を避けることにより製造を容易にすることが見出されている。
手動デニビング(DENIBBING)評価
周囲のみかん肌の付随的平坦化なく、自動車用透明塗料試験パネルTP1のダストニブを除去する(デニビング)能力について、実施例1及び比較例Aを評価した。硬化した透明塗料のダストニブを視覚的に同定し、水又はSF1のいずれかを軽く噴霧した。評価する、構造化研磨物品の3.18センチメートル(1.25インチ)の試料を、バックアップパッド(表1に報告したような)に取り付け、次いでそれをダイナブレード社(Dynabrade, Inc.)(クラレンス(Clarence)、ニューヨーク州)から入手した圧縮空気駆動式ランダムオービットサンダー型番「57502」に取り付けた。620kPa(90ポンド/平方インチ)のエアライン圧力を用いて、ダウンフォースを発生させるために工具の重量を用いる研磨物品の中心部で、試験パネル上の所定のダストニブ(外径<1ミリメートル)を3秒の研磨間隔で研磨した。各研磨間隔後、試験パネルをイソプロパノールで洗浄した。ダストニブの部位で、研磨した試験パネルの視覚的評価を記録した。結果を(下記の)表1に報告する。

デニビングの代わりに切断の耐用期間及び仕上げを測定したことを除き、実施例1及び比較例Bを、上記手動デニビング評価に記載したのと同様の研磨手順に従った。切断の耐用期間は、均一に円形に研がれた試験領域の数として定義した。TP2を試験パネルとして使用し、SF1を研ぎ媒質として使用した。試験の結果を表3(以下)に報告する。
Claims (3)
- 対向する第一及び第二主要面を有する裏材と、
外部境界を有し、前記裏材の第一主要面に添着された構造化研磨層であって、
各隆起研磨領域が、第一高さを有する稠密角錐研磨材複合物からなる複数の隆起研磨領域と、
第二高さを有する稠密切頭角錐研磨材複合物からなる網状組織であって、連続的に隣接し、前記隆起研磨領域を互いに分離し、前記外部境界と同一の広がりを持つ前記網状組織と、を含み、
前記角錐研磨材複合物及び前記切頭角錐研磨材複合物がそれぞれ研磨粒子及び結合剤を含み、前記第一高さが前記第二高さより高い構造化研磨層と、を含む、構造化研磨物品。 - a)請求項1に記載の構造化研磨物品を提供する工程と、
b)加工物を提供する工程と、
c)構造化研磨層の少なくとも一部と、加工物の少なくとも一部とを接触させる工程と、
d)加工物の少なくとも1つ及び構造化研磨層を互いに対して移動させ、加工物の表面の少なくとも一部を研磨する工程と、を含む、加工物の研磨方法。 - 対向する第一及び第二主要面を有する裏材を提供する工程と、
結合剤前駆体に分散した複数の研磨粒子を含む研磨材スラリーを提供する工程と、
主要面と外部境界とを有する生産用具を提供する工程であって、前記主要面が、
第一深さを有する稠密角錐穴部からなる複数の凹部領域と、
第二深さを有する稠密切頭角錐穴部からなる網状組織であって、前記凹部領域と連続的に隣接し、前記凹部領域を互いに分離し、外部境界と同一の広がりを持つ網状組織と、を含み、前記角錐穴部の深さが前記切頭角錐研磨穴部の深さより深い、工程と、
前記研磨材スラリーが前記角錐穴部及び前記切頭角錐穴部の少なくとも一部を充填するように、主要面に対して前記研磨材スラリーを促す工程と、
前記角錐穴部及び前記切頭角錐穴部内で、前記裏材の第一主要面と前記研磨材スラリーとを接触させる工程と、
前記結合剤前駆体を少なくとも部分的に硬化し、結合剤を形成し、それにより前記裏材に付着する複数の前記角錐研磨材複合物及び前記切頭角錐研磨材複合物を形成する工程と、
前記裏材の第一主要面を前記生産用具から分離する工程と、を含む、構造化研磨物品の製造方法。
