Abstract
【解決手段】 より具体的には、複雑なIQ変調方式と、より単純な非コヒーレント・オンオフまたは複数レベル・キーイング信号の両方を受信機がサポートできるようにして、集積回路受信機システムに容易に組み込むことができる振幅シフト・キーイング(ASK)またはその他の振幅変調(AM)の検出のための回路が記載されている。また、周波数弁別器ネットワークの追加により、周波数シフト・キーイング(FSK)またはその他の周波数変調(FM)ならびにAMおよび複雑なIQ変調方式を処理する能力を有する、いくつかの新規な無線アーキテクチャも記載されている。これらの無線アーキテクチャは、検出器ハードウェア・コンポーネントを効率よく共用することにより、この多種多様な変調をサポートする。まず、直角位相ダウンコンバージョンとASK/AMの両方をサポートするためのアーキテクチャが記載され、続いてASK/AM検出器回路の詳細、次にAM−FM検出器アーキテクチャが記載され、最後に最も一般的なAM−FM/IQ復調装置システムの概念およびFSK/FM検出器回路の詳細が記載されている。

Description
本発明は、ミリメートル波長範囲の搬送周波数(>30GHz)を使用してワイヤレス無線リンクによりギガビットレート・データ伝送を提供するという目標に関する。より具体的には、本発明は、複雑なIQ変調方式と、より単純な非コヒーレント・オンオフまたは複数レベル・キーイング信号の両方を受信機がサポートできるようにして、集積回路受信機システムに容易に組み込むことができる振幅シフト・キーイング(ASK:amplitude-shift keying)またはその他の振幅変調(AM:amplitude modulation)の検出のための回路について記載するものである。
Claims (17)
- 第1段ダウンコンバージョン・ミキサと、
任意選択のIF増幅器と、
IQダウンコンバータと、
前記第1段ダウンコンバージョン・ミキサまたは任意選択のIF増幅器の出力側のAM検出器と、
前記第1段ダウンコンバージョン・ミキサまたは任意選択のIF増幅器の前記出力側のFM検出器と、
をさらに有し、
2つ以上のタイプの変調方式をサポートする、統合無線受信機装置。 - 前記AM検出器の前記出力をIチャネル出力またはQチャネル出力のいずれかと多重化して、ベースバンド増幅器およびフィルタに入力することができる、請求項1に記載の受信機。
- 前記FM検出器の前記出力を前記Iチャネル出力またはQチャネル出力のいずれかと多重化して、前記ベースバンド増幅器およびフィルタに入力することができる、請求項2に記載の受信機。
- 複雑なIQ変調、ASK/AM変調、およびFSK/FM変調をサポートする、請求項1に記載の受信機。
- 前記AMおよびFM検出器が同時AM・FM復調をサポートする、請求項3に記載の受信機。
- 複雑なIQ変調をサポートする、請求項1に記載の受信機。
- 前記増幅器が3段制限増幅器である、請求項1に記載の受信機。
- 2対の入力トランジスタ
を有し、
前記トランジスタのうちの1対のみが抵抗的に縮退する、請求項7に記載の受信機。 - 差動であり、前記受信機のIF周波数に中心が置かれるように、90°の位相シフトを有する弁別器フィルタ

I/Qチャネル・ダウンコンバージョンと検出されたAM包絡線をベースバンド増幅チェーンにする多重化能力と、
を有する、統合無線受信機装置。 - ASK検出器出力をIチャネル・パスまたはQチャネル・パスのいずれかに多重化する能力がまったく存在しないように、前記ASK検出器パスならびにIチャネルおよびQチャネル用の個別の出力
をさらに有する、請求項10に記載の受信機。 - 第1段ダウンコンバージョン・ミキサと、
検出器としてのミキサと、
前記ミキサのRF入力信号パス内の増幅器と、
前記ミキサのLO入力信号パス内の増幅器と、
を有し、
前記ミキサのRF入力信号パス内の前記増幅器が前記ミキサのRF入力への低利得線形パスを提供し、
前記ミキサのLO入力信号パス内の前記増幅器が前記ミキサのLO入力への高利得パスを提供し、
両方の前記増幅器が整合遅延を有する、受信機。 - 前記ミキサが二重平衡ミキサである、請求項12に記載の受信機。
- 前記ミキサがIチャネル・ミキサと結合される、請求項12に記載の受信機。
- 前記ミキサがQチャネル・ミキサと結合される、請求項12に記載の受信機。
