Description
Claims (7)
- 第1の端部(A)と第2の端部(B)とを有する管状インフレータハウジング(11)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジングから前記エアバッグ(401)に気体を通気させるように前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記両端部(A、B)から離れている一次気体通気ポート(74)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)から大気中に気体を直接解放し、それによって前記エアバッグ(401)を迂回させるために、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第1の端部(A)に排出ポート(86)を有する気体解放機構(80)と、
を有する、エアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。 - 前記気体解放機構(80)は、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)から前記排出ポート(86)へ気体を排気するための通路または開口(84)と、
前記通路または開口(84)を密封している裂断可能部材(82、83)と、
前記裂断可能部材(82、83)を裂断させる手段と、
をさらに有する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。 - 前記裂断可能部材(82、83)を裂断させる前記手段は、イグナイタを含む、請求項2に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。
- 前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)に収容された不活性気体(6)をさらに有する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。
- 前記一次気体通気ポート(74)は、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の内側の気体によってもたらされる所定の圧力が加えられたときに裂断または破裂することになる裂断可能部材(16、72)によって密封されており、前記気体解放機構(80)の前記通路または開口(84)を密封している前記裂断可能部材(82、83)は、前記一次気体通気ポート(74)を密封している前記裂断可能部材(16、72)が裂断することになる所定の圧力よりも高い所定の圧力が加えられたときに裂断または破裂し、前記気体解放機構(80)の前記裂断可能部材(82、83)を裂断させる前記手段は発火装置(3)である、請求項2に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。
- 前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第2の端部(B)の位置に配置され取り付けられているガスジェネラント(27)を収容しているヒータ組み立て品(2、2A)と、前記ヒータ組み立て品(2、2A)を起動させるイグナイタとをさらに有する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。
- 前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)に収容された不活性気体(6)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第2の端部(B)に取り付けられたヒータ組み立て品(2、2A)と、を有し、
前記ヒータ組み立て品(2、2A)は、貫通している複数の穴(24、60)を有するジェネラント管(1A、1B、1C)によって構成されている外側シェルと、
前記ガスジェネラント(27)が収容されているガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)であって、該ガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)と前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)とは、前記ジェネラント管(1A、1B、1C)の前記複数の穴(24、60)を通して互いに通じているガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)と、
前記ヒータ組み立て品(2、2A)に接続されており、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第2の端部(B)に位置しているイグナイタ(3)と、
点火エンハンサ合成物(25)が収容されているエンハンサエンハンサ燃焼室(4)であって、該点火エンハンサ燃焼室(4)は前記ガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)と前記イグナイタ(3)との間に位置しており、前記ガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)から隔壁(40)によって分離されており、前記隔壁(40)は1つまたは2つ以上の第1の開口(42)を有しており、
前記点火エンハンサ合成物(25)は、前記イグナイタによって点火されたときに、前記一次気体通気ポート(74)を密封している前記裂断可能部材(16、22)を裂断するのに必要な前記所定の圧力をもたらすように、前記ガスジェネラント燃焼室(5)内の前記ガスジェネラント(27)に点火すると共に、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)内に収容されている前記不活性気体(6)を加熱することになる燃焼生成物を生成する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)。
