Description
Claims (2)
- モジュールハウジング(402)と、
エアバッグ(401)と、
前記モジュールハウジング(402)内に配置されているエアバッグインフレータ(200、300)と、を有し、
前記エアバッグインフレータ(200、300)は、
第1の端部(A)と第2の端部(B)との間に位置する長さ方向に管状の中央部分を有する管状インフレータハウジング(11)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)に収容された不活性気体を加熱するためのヒータ組み立て品(2)であって、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第2の端部(B)に配置されて取り付けられ、ガスジェネラント(27)を収容し、第1のイグナイタ(3)によって起動されるヒータ組み立て品(2)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジングから前記エアバッグ(401)に気体を通気させる一次気体通気ポート(74)であって、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記両端部(A、B)の間であって、それら両端部(A、B)から離れている前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記管状の中央部分に位置しており、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の内側の気体によってもたらされる所定の第1の圧力が加えられたときに裂断または破裂することになる裂断可能部材(7、73)によって密封されている一次気体通気ポート(74)と、
前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)から大気中に気体を直接解放し、前記エアバッグ(401)を迂回させる気体解放機構(80)であって、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第1の端部(A)の外側に位置している気体解放機構(80)と、を有し、
前記ヒータ組み立て品(2)が起動されると、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)に収容された前記不活性気体が加熱されて、該不活性気体の圧力が、前記裂断可能部材(7、73)を裂断または破裂させて、気体を前記エアバッグ(401)に通気させる前記第1の圧力に達し、
前記気体解放機構(80)は、前記一次気体通気ポート(74)を密封している前記裂断可能部材(7、73)が裂断することになる前記第1の圧力よりも高い所定の第2の圧力が加えられたときに裂断または破裂する裂断可能部材(82、83)によって密封されており、前記裂断可能部材(82、83)が裂断されると前記インフレータハウジング(11)の内部と連通する通路または開口(84)と、前記裂断可能部材(82、83)を挟んで前記インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第1の端部(A)と反対側に配置されている第2のイグナイタ(3)と、前記第2のイグナイタ(3)によって点火され、前記裂断可能部材(82、83)に前記第2の圧力を作用させる可燃性物質と、を有し、
前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)の前記第1の端部(A)は、前記気体解放機構(80)が前記モジュールハウジング(402)の外側になるように、前記モジュールハウジング(402)の外側に延びている、エアバッグモジュール組み立て品(400)。 - 前記エアバッグインフレータ(200、300)は、前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)のくぼみ、すなわち径が減少している部分(13)において前記管状インフレータハウジング(11)および前記一次気体通気ポート(74)を取り囲むガスフローマニフォールド(14)をさらに有する、請求項1に記載のエアバッグモジュール組み立て品(400)。
