Abstract
【解決手段】特定の有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩を、強酸性カチオン交換樹脂を用いたイオン交換法に供し、該有機スルホン酸に対する金属イオン濃度を各金属イオン毎で200ppb以下となるように処理した。またかかる金属イオン濃度を低減した有機スルホン酸を、特定の塩基性化合物で中和し、同様に金属イオン濃度を低減した有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤とした。

R1:炭素数4〜24の脂肪族炭化水素基
R2,R3:水素原子、スルホ基又は炭素数1〜18の脂肪族炭化水素基
R4,R5,R6,R7:水素原子、スルホ基又は炭素数1〜8の脂肪族炭化水素基
R8,R9,R10,R11:水素原子、スルホ基又は炭素数4〜18の脂肪族炭化水素基
R12,R13,R14,R15,R16,R17,R18:水素原子、炭素数1〜4のアルキル基又は炭素数1〜4のヒドロキシアルキル基
実施例1
ブチルスルホン酸ナトリウム塩50gを純水150gに溶解し、25%水溶液の試料を調製した。強酸性カチオン交換樹脂として予め1N希塩酸を用いてH型に再生しておいたアンバーライト IR−124Na(米国ローム・アンド・ハース社製の商品名)を用い、その200mlを垂直にセットした内容量300mlカラムに充填し、4000gの純水で十分に洗浄した後、24時間静置した。試料及びカラム内の水温を15〜25℃の範囲内で一定の温度に保温し、空間速度(SV)0.6で試料をカラムに通して金属イオン濃度を低減したブチルスルホン酸を得た。結果を表1に示した。
実施例1と同様にして実施例2〜145及び比較例1〜8を行ない、各例の有機スルホン酸を得た。各例の内容と結果を表1〜表4にまとめて示した。

実施例1〜145及び比較例1〜8で得た有機スルホン酸の金属イオン濃度をファーネス原子吸光光度計:4110ZL(Perkin Elmer社製の商品名)を使用し、グラファイトファーネス式フレームレス原子化法による原子吸光分析法によって測定した。測定結果を表5〜表8にまとめて示した。
実施例146
実施例1で得た金属イオン濃度を低減したブチルスルホン酸220gに、塩基性化合物として29%アンモニア水(関東化学製のELグレード)6.9gを攪拌しながら滴下し、pHが6.0〜8.0となるよう中和して、濃度23%のブチルスルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤を得た。
表13〜表16に記載の塩基性化合物を用い、実施例146と同様にして実施例147〜289及び比較例9〜16の有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤を得た。実施例146も含め、各例で用いた塩基性化合物の内容を表9〜表12にまとめて示した。

・金属イオン濃度の測定
実施例146〜289及び比較例9〜16で得た有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤の金属イオン濃度を、前記の有機スルホン酸の金属イオン濃度の測定方法と同様にして測定した。結果を表13〜表16にまとめて示した。
実施例146〜289及び比較例9〜16で得た有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤を温度50℃の恒温槽中で30日間密閉して保存した。保存前後の試料を使用して5%水溶液を調製し、300mlを500mlビーカーにとり、直径5cmの4枚羽根のインペラーを使用して100rpmで撹拌した。この水溶液中に40℃の粘度が10mm2/sの鉱油を1滴添加して5分間攪拌を継続した。撹拌を止め、直後と10分後の分散性を目視で確認し、以下の基準で評価した。結果を表13〜表16にまとめて示した。
◎:直後及び10分後の双方で均一に分散しており、保存の前後による差が殆ど認められない。
○:直後及び10分後の双方で少し分離しており、保存後の方が分離がやや大きい。
×:直後及び10分後の双方で明らかに分離が認められ、保存後の方が分離が明らかに大きい。
実施例146〜289及び比較例9〜16で得た有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤を温度50℃の恒温槽中で30日間密閉して保存した。保存前後の試料をイオン交換水で希釈し、JIS K0071−1に準じてハーゼン標準比色液と比較してハーゼン単位色数を測定した。ただし、ハーゼン標準比色液の中間にあるものは、中間の値を採用した。保存前後のハーゼン単位色数の差の絶対値を求め、耐変色性を以下の基準で評価した。結果を表13〜表16にまとめて示した。
◎:色数の差の絶対値が5以下
○:色数の差の絶対値が10〜15以下
×:色数の差の絶対値が20〜35以下
Claims (8)
- 有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩を、水、炭素数1〜4の低級アルコール、炭素数2〜4のグリコール、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル及び乳酸エステルのなかから選ばれる一つ又は二つ以上の溶媒で希釈して濃度5〜40質量%の均一溶液とし、次いで空間速度が0.01〜6.0の範囲内で強酸性カチオン交換樹脂層に通液して処理する請求項1記載の有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩の処理方法。
- 溶媒が水、2−プロパノール又はこれらの混合物である請求項2記載の有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩の処理方法。
- 有機スルホン酸に対するNa、K、Ca、Mg、Mn、Fe、Al、Cu、Zn、Ni及びCrの各金属イオン濃度を100ppb以下となるように処理する請求項1〜3のいずれか一つの項記載の有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩の処理方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一つの項記載の有機スルホン酸のアルカリ金属塩の処理方法によって得られる金属イオン濃度を低減した有機スルホン酸。
- 塩基性化合物が、アンモニア、エチルアミン、ジエチルアミン、トリエチルアミン、モノエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、トリエタノールアミン、テトラメチルアンモニウムヒドロキシド、テトラエチルアンモニウムヒドロキシド、テトラプロピルアンモニウムヒドロキシド及びテトラブチルアンモニウムヒドロキシドから選ばれる一つ又は二つ以上である請求項6記載の有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤。
- 有機環状塩基性化合物がピロール、ピリジン又はこれらの混合物である請求項6記載の有機スルホン酸アンモニウム塩型界面活性剤。
