Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の燃料タンク装置では、タンク底の中央が上方へ窪んで厚みが薄くされた連通室1の両側にメインタンク室である第1燃料室2とサブタンク室である第2燃料室3とが形成された鞍形状のタンク本体4を有しており、その第1燃料室2に第1ベンチレーションバルブ5を配置すると共に、第2燃料室3に第2ベンチレーションバルブ6を配置させた構造としている。また、第1ベンチレーションバルブ5と第2ベンチレーションバルブ6は、車両の左右への旋回等で第2燃料室3の最大液面位置A1まで液体燃料9が到達していても第1燃料室2に液体燃料を給油することができ、且つ規定容量以上の過給油状態とならないようにそれぞれの燃料室にその高さ位置を決めて配置する。

Description
なお、この説明の中で、「バルブが閉塞したとき」とは、バルブが閉塞する液面位置の中で最も低い液面位置、つまり、液面位置がバルブより低い状態から高くなっていくときに、バルブが閉塞した瞬間の液面位置のことを示している。

Claims (1)
- タンク底の中央が上方へ窪んで厚みが薄くされた連通室と、この連通室の両側に連通して設けられたメインタンク室である第1燃料室及びサブタンク室である第2燃料室とを備えた鞍形状のタンク本体と、
前記第1燃料室内に配置され、この第1燃料室が液体燃料で満タンになったときにバルブを閉塞して該第1燃料室と大気との連通を阻止する第1ベンチレーションバルブと、
前記第2燃料室内に配置され、この第2燃料室が液体燃料で満タンになったときにバルブを閉塞して該第2燃料室と大気との連通を阻止する第2ベンチレーションバルブと、を備え、
前記第2燃料室内に充填された液体燃料で前記第2ベンチレーションバルブが閉塞したときの液面位置と、該第2燃料室内に液体燃料が最大限に充填された液面位置との間の前記第2燃料室における第2容積V2が、
前記第1燃料室内に充填された液体燃料で前記第1ベンチレーションバルブが閉塞したときの液面位置と、該第1燃料室内に液体燃料が最大限に充填された液面位置との間の前記第1燃料室における第1容積V1と等しくなる(V2=V1)位置に、或いは、
前記第1容積V1が前記第2容積V2より大となる(V1>V2)位置に、前記第1ベンチレーションバルブと前記第2ベンチレーションバルブを配置した
ことを特徴とする燃料タンク装置。
