Abstract
【解決手段】無線装置は、基準信号を受信し、受信した基準信号の断片を抽出し、断片のための受信の時刻を決定し、断片と受信の時刻を、GPS補助情報のための要求の一部として位置決定エンティティに送信する。位置決定エンティティは、受信の関連する時刻とともに基準信号を連続的に受信し記憶し、および無線装置から送られた断片とタイムスタンプを受信する。位置決定エンティティは、さらに、信号断片を記憶された基準信号の一部にマッチさせ、タイムスタンプと、記憶された基準信号のマッチした部分の受信の時刻との間のタイムオフセットを決定し、無線装置のための補助情報を作成し、タイムオフセットを用いて補助情報を無線装置に同期させ、同期された補助情報を無線装置に送信する。無線装置は、受信したタイミング情報を含む補助情報で、GPS信号を取得する。

Claims (24)
- 位置決定エンティティを含む無線通信システムにおいて、以下の工程を具備する、
衛星位置決めシステム信号を取得するための方法:
基準信号の断片を受信する、前記断片はタイミングソースにより測定される受信の時刻を有する;
補助情報のための要求を前記位置決定エンティティに送信する、前記要求は前記断片と前記受信の時刻を含む;
前記要求された補助情報を受信する;および
前記受信した補助情報を用いて前記衛星位置決めシステム信号の位置を見つける。 - 前記タイミングソースは前記位置決定エンティティと同期されていない、請求項1の方法。
- 前記断片を受信する工程は、
無線周波数(RF)信号を受信する工程;および
前記受信した無線周波数信号の一部をサンプリングする工程を具備する、請求項1の方法。 - 前記RF信号はFM無線放送信号である、請求項3の方法。
- 前記RF信号は無線通信システムの全体に渡ってユビキタスである、請求項3の方法。
- 前記補助情報は、前記無線装置が前記衛星信号を受信することを期待される時刻を識別するタイミング情報を含む、請求項1の方法。
- 前記補助情報は、前記タイミングソースと同期される、請求項1の方法。
- 無線通信システムにおいて、下記工程を具備する、衛星位置決めシステム信号を取得する際に無線装置を補助するための方法:
タイミングソースを維持する;
基準信号を連続的に受信する;
前記基準信号を記憶する、前記記憶された基準信号は前記タイミングソースにより測定される受信の関連する時刻を有する;
情報を補助するための無線装置からの要求を受信する、前記要求は信号断片およびタイムスタンプを含む;
前記信号断片を前記記憶された基準信号の一部とマッチさせる;
タイムスタンプと、前記記憶された基準信号のマッチされた部分の受信の時刻との間のタイムオフセットを決定する;
無線装置のための補助情報を作成する;
前記タイムオフセットを用いて、前記補助情報を前記無線装置に同期させる;および
前記同期された補助情報を前記無線装置に送信する。 - 前記タイミングソースは前記無線装置と同期されない、請求項8の方法。
- 前記リファレンス信号はユビキタス信号である、請求項8の方法。
- 前記ユビキタス信号は、FM無線放送信号から構成される、請求項10の方法。
- 前記記憶する工程は以下の工程を具備する、請求項8の方法:
前記受信した基準信号をサンプリングする;および
前記サンプルされた基準信号をバッファに記憶する;
各記憶されたサンプルの受信の時刻は、前記タイミングソースおよび前記バッファ内のその位置により測定される現在時刻の関数として決定することができる。 - 前記補助情報は、前記衛星位置決めシステム信号が前記無線装置により受信されることが期待される時刻を識別するタイミング情報を含む、請求項8の方法。
- 位置決定エンティティを含む衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)において、下記を具備する無線装置:
RF信号を受信するように適合した基準信号受信器;
前記基準信号受信器に接続されたシグナルプロセッサ、前記シグナルプロセッサは、前記RF信号の断片を抽出し、前記RF信号の断片が前記基準信号受信器により受信された受信の時刻を決定するように適合される;
前記断片および受信の時刻を位置決定エンティティに送信し、前記位置決定エンティティからSPS補助情報を受信するように適合した無線通信トランシーバ;および
前記SPS補助情報を用いてSPS衛星信号を受信するように適合したSPS受信器。 - 前記基準信号受信器は、FM無線受信器である、請求項14の無線装置。
- 前記基準信号受信器は、AM無線受信器である、請求項14の無線装置。
- 前記基準信号受信器は、テレビジョン信号受信器である、請求項14の無線装置。
- さらに下記を具備する、請求項14の無線装置:
プロセッサ;および
タイミングソース;
前記断片の受信の時刻は前記タイミングソースを用いて決定され;
前記SPS補助情報はタイムオフセットを含み;および
前記プロセッサは、前記タイムオフセットを用いて、前記タイミングソースを前記位置決定エンティティと同期を取るように適合される、請求項14の無線装置。 - さらに下記を具備する、請求項14の無線装置:
無線周波数(RF)入力信号を中間周波数(IF)信号にダブルダウンコンバートするように適合されたダブルヘテロダイン受信器回路;
前記基準信号は、第1RF入力をダブルヘテロダイン受信器回路に供給し;
前記通信トランシーバは、第2RF入力を前記ダブルヘテロダイン受信器回路に供給し;および
前記SPS受信器は第3RF入力を前記ダブルヘテロダイン受信器回路に供給し;および
前記ダブルヘテロダイン受信器に入力するために、前記第1、第2、および第3RF入力信号の1つを選択するためのスイッチ。 - 第1のクロックを有する無線装置と、第2のクロックを有する位置決定エンティティを含む無線通信システムネットワークにおいて、下記を具備する、全地球測位システム(GPS)タイミング情報を前記無線装置に供給するための方法:
基準信号を受信する;
前記受信した基準信号の断片を抽出する;
前記第1のクロックに従って前記断片のための受信の時刻を決定する;
前記断片および受信の時刻を前記位置決定エンティティに送信する;および
前記位置決定エンティティから補助情報を受信する、前記補助情報は、衛星位置決めシステム信号の取得に関連するタイミング情報を含み、前記タイミング情報は前記第1のクロックと同期している。 - 前記断片を抽出する工程は、前記受信した基準信号の一部をサンプリングする肯定を具備する、請求項20の方法。
- 前記基準信号は、FM無線放送信号である、請求項21の方法。
- 前記FM無線放送信号は前記無線通信ネットワークの全体にわたってユビキタスである、請求項22の方法。
- 無線装置を含む無線通信システムにおいて、下記を具備する位置決定エンティティ:
タイミングソース;
記憶されたSPS衛星位置情報を含む衛星位置決めシステム(SPS)メモリ;
記憶された基準信号および受信情報の関連する時刻を含む基準信号メモリ;
前記無線装置からの補助情報のための要求を受信するように適合された通信インターフェース、前記要求は信号断片およびタイムスタンプを含む;
前記信号断片を前記記憶された基準信号の一部と整合させるように適合されたシグナルプロセッサ;および
前記タイムスタンプと、前記記憶された基準信号の一部の受信の時刻との間のタイムオフセットを決定し、前記SPS衛星信号の位置を見つける際に、前記無線装置を補助するために、前記SPS衛星情報から補助情報を作成し、前記補助情報を前記無線装置と同期させるために、前記タイムオフセットを用いて前記補助情報を調整し、前記通信インタフェースを用いて、前記補助情報を前記無線装置に送信するように適合された制御プロセッサ。
