Abstract
【解決手段】初期化時に割り当てられた初期余裕空間と、初期化後に割当及び/または拡張される追加余裕空間を含むディスクからデータを再生するための再生装置において、前記ディスクからデータを読み出すためのピックアップ部と、前記データを読み出すために前記ピックアップ部を制御し、前記追加余裕空間を使う前記ディスクから前記読み出されたデータを再生するための制御部を含み、拡張される追加余裕空間はデータ領域の後方から始まって前方に割り当てられ、前記拡張された追加余裕空間内の欠陥ブロックは余裕ブロックとして使用されないことを特徴とする。

前記ディスクからデータを読み出すためのピックアップ部と、
前記データを読み出すために前記ピックアップ部を制御し、前記追加余裕空間を使う前記ディスクから前記読み出されたデータを再生するための制御部を含み、
拡張される追加余裕空間はデータ領域の後方から始まって前方に割り当てられ、前記拡張された追加余裕空間内の欠陥ブロックは余裕ブロックとして使用されないことを特徴とする。

拡張される追加余裕空間はデータ領域の後方から始まって前方に割り当てられ、前記拡張された追加余裕空間内の欠陥ブロックは余裕ブロックとして使用されないことを特徴とする。
本発明に係る欠陥管理のためのディスク上の余裕空間の割当は初期余裕空間(Primary Spare Area)及び追加余裕空間(Supplementary Spare Area)に区分して下記のように定義する。
加余裕空間の割当時容易に割当てられる。

最大余裕空間 = [EPDL/512]×32+4096ブロック
(数2)
最大余裕空間 = 4096−[EPDL/512]×(256−32)ブロック
Claims (2)
- 初期化時に割り当てられた初期余裕空間と、初期化後に割当及び/または拡張される追加余裕空間を含むディスクからデータを再生するための再生装置において、
前記ディスクからデータを読み出すためのピックアップ部と、
前記データを読み出すために前記ピックアップ部を制御し、前記追加余裕空間を使う前記ディスクから前記読み出されたデータを再生するための制御部を含み、
拡張される追加余裕空間はデータ領域の後方から始まって前方に割り当てられ、前記拡張された追加余裕空間内の欠陥ブロックは余裕ブロックとして使用されないことを特徴とする再生装置。 - 初期化時に割り当てられた初期余裕空間と、初期化後に割当及び/または拡張される追加余裕空間を含むディスクからデータを再生するための再生方法において、
前記追加余裕空間を使用する前記ディスクからデータを再生する段階を含み、
