Description
一の観点では、本発明の特徴は撥水性積層体を製造する方法である。積層体は、第一面及び第二面を有する一次基体及び結合面及び露出面を有する二次基体を包含する。二次基体の結合面及び露出面は撥水性物質で処理されている。この方法は、a)一次基体の第一面にホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタン接着剤組成物を適用して接着剤を保持する面を形成し、かつb)一次基体の接着剤保持面を二次基体の接着面と接触させて積層体を形成する。接着剤組成物は、約20,000g/モルより大きくない重量平均分子量を有するホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタンプレポリマーを含む。プレポリマーはポリオール成分とポリイソシアネート成分との反応生成物である。ポリオール成分はエチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイド、1,2-ブチレンオキサイド、1,4-ブチレンオキサイド、又はそれらの混合物から選ばれる少なくとも1の単量体から形成された第一ポリエーテルポリオール;約40℃未満の融点を有する第一ポリエステルポリオール;及び融点が約40℃〜約120℃の結晶性ポリエステルポリオールを含む。
一の観点では、本発明は少なくとも2つの基体−一次基体及び2つの基体の間にサンドイッチされたホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタン接着剤組成物を伴った二次基体を含む撥水性積層体を特徴とする。一次基体は接着剤が先ず適用された接着剤保持面を有する。二次基体は露出面及び一次基体の接着剤保持面に結合して積層体を形成する結合面を有する。一次基体は最終用途に応じて湿分蒸気を透過させるか又はさせない熱可塑性フィルム又は、最終用途にも応じて撥水材で処理され又は処理されていない織物のような任意の適当な材料で作り得る。熱可塑性フィルムの例には、例えばポリテトラフロロエチレン(PTFE)、熱可塑性ポリウレタン樹脂(TPU)、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン等が含まれる。一次基体としての織物の例には、織物又は不織布、木綿、ポリエステル、ポリアミド(ナイロン)、等が含まれる。二次基体は、積層の前にその露出面及び結合面の両者を撥水材料で処理されている。露出面は、湿潤環境のような環境に露出される面であるが、結合面は積層体を形成するときに一次基体の接着剤保持面と接触する。
融解粘度
ホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタン接着剤組成物の融解粘度は、ナンバー27スピンドルを用いるブルックフィールド サーモセル ビスコメータ モデルDV−Iで測定する。
ホットメルト質分硬化ポリウレタンプレポリマーの分子量は、ゲル パーミエイション クロマトグラフィ(GPC)分子量分析によって測定する。
一次織物への二次織物の接着は次の方法によって試験する。
一次織物の3”×6”片を作業面上におき、約1”片の広い端でテープにする。融解形態の接着剤を適用温度で金属アプリケータを用いて適用する。両面が撥水材料で処理された二次織物を、接着剤が適用されると直ちに接着剤層の頂部に置く。剥離紙を、結合積層体の上に置いて保護する。ローラーを用いて結合した積層体の全体に圧力を適用する。その後、結合した積層体を周囲温度及び50%相対湿度に約7日間放置して接着剤を硬化させる。接着を試験するために、結合した積層体を人の手で裂き、二次織物の接着を観察して1から5に評価する。レートが高くなるほど接着が強くなる。
例1〜3及び比較例1〜2のホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタン接着剤組成物のそれぞれを、表Iによる成分を反応させて調製する。
Claims (17)
- 第一面及び第二面を有する第一基体及び結合面及び露出面を有する第二基体を包含し、該第二基体の結合面及び露出面を撥水性材料で処理された撥水性積層体の製造方法であって、該方法は
a) ホットメルト湿分硬化ポリウレタン接着剤組成物を該第一基体の該第一面に適用して接着剤保持面を形成し、かつ
b) 該第一基体の該接着剤保持面に該第二基体の該結合面を結合して積層体を形成することを包含し、
該接着剤組成物は約20,000g/モルより大きくない分子量を有するホットメルト湿分硬化性ポリウレタンプレポリマーを包含し、該プレポリマーはポリオール成分とポリイソシアネート成分の反応生成物であり、該ポリオール成分はエチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイド、1,2-ブチレンオキサイド、1,4-ブチレンオキサイド、又はそれらの混合物から選ばれる少なくとも1の単量体から形成される第一ポリエーテルポリオール;約40℃未満の融点を有する第一ポリエステルポリオール;及び約40℃〜約120℃の融点を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールを包含する、撥水性積層体の製造方法。 - 該ポリオール成分は、約500g/モル〜約6,000g/モルの数平均分子量を有する無定形ポリエステルポリオールを更に包含する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該第一ポリエーテルポリオールは、プロピレンオキサイドのホモポリマー又はプロピレンオキサイドとエチレンオキサイドとの共重合体であり;該ポリオールは約500g/モル〜約4,000g/モルの数平均分子量を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 該ポリイソシアネート成分は、ジフェニルメタン-4,4'-ジイソシアネートである、前記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 該接着剤組成物は、90℃において約2,000cps〜約8,000cpsの粘度を有する前記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 該第一基体は、ポリテトラフロロエチレン(PTFE)、熱可塑性ポリウレタン樹脂(TPU)、ポリエステル、又はポリプロピレンから選ばれる熱可塑性フィルムである前記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 該第二基体は織物又は不織布、木綿、ポリエステル、又はポリアミドを包含する前記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。

該接着剤組成物は約20,000g/モルより大きくない重量平均分子量を有するホットメルト湿分硬化性ポリウレタンプレポリマーを包含し、該プレポリマーはポリオール成分及びポリイソシアネート成分の反応生成物であり、該ポリオール成分はエチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイド、1,2-ブチレンオキサイド、1,4-ブチレンオキサイド、又はそれらの混合物から選ばれる少なくとも1の単量体から形成される第一ポリエーテルポリオール;約200g/モル〜約1,000g/モルの数平均分子量を有する第二ポリエーテルポリオール、及び約40℃〜約120℃の融点を有する結晶性ポリエステルポリオールを包含する撥水性積層体の製造方法。 - 該第一ポリエーテルポリオールは、プロピレンオキサイドのホモポリマー、ブチレンオキサイドのホモポリマー、プロピレンオキサイドとエチレンオキサイドとの共重合体、ブチレンオキサイドとエチレンオキサイドとの共重合体、又はそれらの混合物から選ばれる請求項9に記載の方法。
