前記の好ましい実施形態では、前記フロー制御およびステータス・データストリーム3005は以下の信号も含む。
−ローカルイングレス同期不良:SER/DESによるSANからの信号エラー
−ローカル・イングレス・レート:1ギガまたは2ギガのファイバー標準規格入力を特定
−ローカル・エグレス・レート:1ギガまたは2ギガのファイバー標準規格出力を特定
−インクリメント・ローカル・イングレス受信ブロックカウンター:遠位端に送信されたバイト数
−自動検出ローカル・クライアント・バッファ・ツー・バッファ・クレジット:ローカルSANで利用可能なバッファ
前記フロー制御およびステータス・データストリーム3005は、図10の信号1014および1064と相似である。
メモリ=ファイバーチャネル・ポートにつき8MB(図1の105、110、115、および120)または6.71Ie7ビット
データ転送速度=8bエンコーディングで1.7Gbps(10bエンコーディングで2.125Gbpsの入力)
最大待ち時間=メモリのビット数/8bエンコーディングしたビット速度=39.476ミリ秒
1km毎往復時間=.01 ms/km
最大距離=待ち時間/1km毎往復時間/km=3948km
このように、前記2端末間で約3948kmの距離が可能である。16MBバージョンのSRAMを用いる場合、距離は約7896kmに倍増する。
Claims (1)
- パケットベースのデータを統合および伝送するシステムであって、
複数のパケットベースのデータストリームを送信するストレージ・エリア・ネットワークと、
前記複数のパケットベースのデータストリームを受信し、当該データストリームをパケットベースの複合データストリームに処理する、少なくとも1つのイングレス・ストリーム・ブロックと、
前記イングレス・ストリーム・ブロックに機能的に接続された、少なくとも1つのアップストリームプロセッサと、
前記イングレス・ストリーム・ブロックから受信したパケットベースの複合データストリームを伝送するための伝送手段と、
前記パケットベースの複合データストリームを受信し、前記複数のパケットベースのデータストリームに処理する、少なくとも1つのエグレス・ストリーム・ブロックと、
ユーザーのデータを読み込むために前記エグレス・ストリーム・ブロックに機能的に接続された、少なくとも1つのダウンストリームプロセッサと、
前記複数のパケットベースのデータストリームを受信するストレージ・エリア・ネットワークと
を有するシステム。
