Abstract
【解決手段】 少なくとも一つの情報記録層を有する情報記録媒体であって、少なくとも一つの情報記録層は、それぞれ最適の記録条件を得るための最適パワーコントロール領域を備え、隣接する情報記録層にある最適パワーコントロール領域が相異なる半径範囲内に位置することを特徴とする情報記録媒体である。これにより、情報記録媒体が偏心されるか、またはディスクの製作時に誤差が発生しても、各情報記録層にある最適パワーコントロール領域によって、隣接する他の領域が影響を受けて記録特性が悪くなることを防止する。

OPC領域20_L1が第1情報記録層にあるDMA領域23_L0に対向する。DMA領域は、偏心によりOPC領域に対向しても、最適のパワー制御のためのテストの実行時にOPCにより影響を受けないこともある。

Claims (13)
- それぞれの情報記憶層が、最適なパワーコントロールの領域と、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域の一方の側に設けられるバッファ領域及び保留領域の少なくとも1つとを含む、複数の情報記憶層を含む情報記憶媒体からデータを読取るリーダと、
前記データを読取るために前記リーダを制御するコントローラとを有し、
前記情報記憶層のうちの隣接する情報記憶層における前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域は、前記情報記憶層のうちの1つに設けられるバッファ領域及び保留領域のうちの1つが前記情報記憶層のうちの隣接する情報記憶層に設けられる最適なパワーコントロールの領域と揃えられ、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域に向かい合うように、前記情報記憶媒体の異なる半径内に設けられる、
ことを特徴とする再生装置。 - 光記録条件を得るために使用される最適なパワーコントロールの領域と、バッファ領域及び再生専用のデータを記憶する再生専用の領域の少なくとも1つとをそれぞれ含む、複数の情報記憶層を有する情報記憶媒体であって、
前記情報記憶層のうちの1つの再生専用の領域の部分は、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域と前記情報記憶層のうちの隣接する情報記憶層のバッファ領域とに揃えられ、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域と前記情報記憶層のうちの隣接する情報記憶層のバッファ領域とに向かい合う、
ことを特徴とする情報記録媒体。 - 記憶媒体の記憶層からデータを読取る光ピックアップと、
前記記憶媒体の再生及び/又は記録速度の情報を読み取り、再生及び/又は記録速度で前記記憶媒体の前記記憶層からデータを再生及び/又は記録するために前記光ピックアップを制御するコントローラとを有し、
それぞれの前記記憶層は、光記録条件を得るために使用される最適なパワーコントロールの領域と、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域の一方の側に設けられるバッファ領域及び保留領域のうちの1つとを含み、
前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層における最適なパワーコントロールの領域は、前記記憶層のうちの1つに設けられるバッファ領域及び保留領域のうちの一方が前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層に設けられる最適なパワーコントロールの領域に向かい合うように、前記記憶媒体の異なる半径内に設けられる、
ことを特徴とする再生装置。 - 前記記憶層のそれぞれは、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域のそれぞれの反対側に設けられる別のバッファを更に有する、
請求項3記載の装置。 - 前記保留領域は、前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層における最適なパワーコントロールの領域に向かい合うように、前記記憶層のうちの1つにおける最適なパワーコントロールの領域の一方の側に設けられる前記バッファ領域のうちの1つに隣接して設けられる、
請求項4記載の装置。 - 前記記憶層のそれぞれは、複数のデータ記録領域と、隣接するデータ記録領域間に設けられる別のバッファ領域とを更に有する、
請求項3記載の装置。 - 前記記憶層のそれぞれは、欠陥管理領域、ユーザーデータ領域、並びに、前記欠陥管理領域と前記ユーザーデータ領域の間に設けられる別のバッファ領域を更に有する、
請求項3記載の装置。 - 前記記憶媒体の半径方向における前記バッファ領域のそれぞれの長さは、5〜100μmの範囲にある、
請求項4記載の装置。 - 再生専用のデータを記憶する再生専用の領域は、前記再生専用の領域が前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層の最適なパワーコントロールの領域に向かい合うように、前記記憶層のうちの1つに設けられる、
請求項3記載の装置。 - ディスクに関連する情報及びディスク制御データは、前記再生専用のデータを記憶するために前記再生専用の領域に記録される、
請求項9記載の装置。 - 光記録条件を得るために使用される最適なパワーコントロールの領域と、バッファ領域と、再生専用データを記憶する再生専用の領域をそれぞれ含む、複数の記憶層を有する記憶媒体であって、
前記記憶層のうちの1つの再生専用の領域は、前記最適なパワーコントロールの領域と前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層のバッファ領域とに向かい合って配置される、
ことを特徴とする記憶媒体。 - 前記記憶層のうちの1つの再生専用の領域は、前記記憶層のうちの隣接する記憶層の最適なパワーコントロールの領域よりも大きい、
