Abstract
【解決手段】キャニスタ16とエンジン吸気管とを連通する供給送出配管30には、キャニスタ16側から順に、コンプレッサ32、第一制御弁36、貯留容器38及び第二制御弁40が備えられている。コンプレッサ32の駆動により、キャニスタ16内の気体を貯留容器38に送り、キャニスタ内圧を低下させて、吸着剤20に吸着されている燃料成分の気化を促進する。そして、貯留容器38に貯留された蒸発燃料を貯留容器38の内圧によって蒸発燃料を強制的にエンジンに送る。

Claims (4)
- 燃料タンクと連通されて燃料タンク内で生じた蒸発燃料が導入されるキャニスタと、
前記キャニスタを大気連通する大気連通管に設けられ、キャニスタの大気連通を遮断可能な封鎖弁と、
前記キャニスタの内圧を検出するキャニスタ内圧センサと、
前記キャニスタ内を減圧可能な減圧装置と、
前記減圧装置とエンジンとを連通する燃料供給管に設けられ蒸発燃料を一時的に貯留可能な貯留手段と、
を有することを特徴とする蒸発燃料処理装置。 - 請求項1に記載の蒸発燃料処理装置を用いて蒸発燃料を処理する蒸発燃料処理方法であって、
前記封鎖弁を閉弁した状態で前記減圧装置によって前記キャニスタ内が所定圧になるように減圧し、気化した蒸発燃料を前記貯留手段に貯留させる貯留工程と、
前記貯留手段に貯留された蒸発燃料を前記燃料供給管を通じてエンジンに供給する供給工程と、
を有することを特徴とする蒸発燃料処理方法。 - 前記貯留工程において前記キャニスタ内を減圧中に前記封鎖弁を開弁することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の蒸発燃料処理方法。
- 前記貯留工程において、前記減圧装置による減圧で前記キャニスタ内が所定圧になった後、さらに減圧装置によってキャニスタ内を減圧することを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載の蒸発燃料処理方法。
