Abstract
【解決手段】演算部50が、第1のアブソリュートパターンを用いて第1の信号処理部30から出力された絶対位置情報と、第1のアブソリュートパターンの周期の整数倍でない周期を有する第2のアブソリュートパターンを用いて第2の信号処理部130から出力された絶対位置情報とを用いて、新たな絶対位置情報を算出する。これにより、分解能を落とすことなく、それぞれの絶対位置情報の組み合わせの数だけ、測長距離を伸ばすことが可能となる。

Description
なお、「int」は整数部分をとる演算子であるものとし、また、「(-)」は16の補数減算、すなわち、減算結果が負であった場合に16を加える演算子であるものとする。
N=int(4(-)int(0×5/4))/4=1
となり、例えば、上記点EにおけるB区間番号Nは、
N=int(7(-)int(12×5/4))/4=2
となる。
ABS=1×16+0=16
となり、例えば、上記点Eにおける絶対位置(ABS)は、
ABS=2×16+12=44
となる。
Claims (9)
- 一軸方向に関する絶対位置情報を計測するアブソリュートエンコーダであって、
前記一軸方向に関して所定周期を有する第1のアブソリュートパターンが、前記一軸方向に沿って複数配列された第1のトラックと、前記一軸方向に関して前記所定周期の整数倍でない周期を有する第2のアブソリュートパターンが、前記一軸方向に沿って複数配列された第2のトラックと、を有する符号板と;
前記符号板を介した光を受光する受光器と;を備えるアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記第1のトラックを介した光の受光結果から第1の絶対位置情報を検出し、前記第2のトラックを介した光の受光結果から第2の絶対位置情報を検出する検出器を更に備える請求項1に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記検出器にて検出された前記第1、第2の絶対位置情報に基づいて、新たな絶対位置情報を算出する演算部を更に備える請求項1又は2に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
- 前記符号板は、前記第2のトラックを複数種類有し、
前記各第2のトラックを構成する第2のアブソリュートパターンの周期は、互いに整数倍の関係にないことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記符号板は、前記第2のトラックを1つ有し、
前記第1のアブソリュートパターンの周期と、前記第2のアブソリュートパターンの周期の比がm:n(m、nは整数、かつn≠k・m(ただし、kは整数))であり、
前記第1のトラックでは、前記第1のアブソリュートパターンが前記一軸方向にn個配列され、前記第2のトラックでは、前記第2のアブソリュートパターンが、前記一軸方向にm個配列されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記演算部は、前記第1の絶対位置情報と前記第2の絶対位置情報との関係から、前記m個の第2のアブソリュートパターンのうちのいずれのパターンを用いて計測が行われているかを特定し、
該特定結果と前記第2の絶対位置情報とから、新たな絶対位置情報を算出することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記演算部は、
前記第2のアブソリュートパターンのうちの少なくとも1つのパターンを、計測に使用しない不使用パターンに設定し、
前記特定結果が前記不使用パターンであった場合には、前記不使用パターンとは異なるパターンが特定されたものと読み替えることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記符号板は、
前記第1のトラックに対応して設けられた第1のインクリメンタルトラックと、
前記第2のトラックに対応して設けられた第2のインクリメンタルトラックと、を更に有することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。 - 前記符号板は、
前記第1のトラックと前記第2のトラックの両方に共通するインクリメンタルトラックを更に有することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のアブソリュートエンコーダ。
