Abstract
【解決手段】電解質膜11は、燃料電極12と酸素電極13との間に挟まれた反応領域11Aと、燃料電極12と酸素電極13との間から露出した周辺領域11Bとを有する。接続部材20は、二つの平坦部21,22の間に屈曲部23を有する。電解質膜11の周辺領域11Bに接着層14を設け、この接着層14に接続部材20の屈曲部23を接合することにより、接合体10の配置効率を高め、良好な封止性を確保する。接着層14は、電解質膜11との接着性の高い第1密着層,バリア層,強度保持層および接続部材20との接着性の高い第2密着層を順に積層した構成とする。接続部材20の屈曲部23にも、接続部材側接着層を設けることにより、接着強度をより高めることができる。

図10は、本発明の変形例に係る電気化学デバイスである燃料電池の構成を表すものである。この燃料電池は、六つの接合体10が3列×2行の二次元配列で配置されていることを除いては、上記実施の形態で説明した燃料電池と同一の構成を有し、同様にして製造することができる。よって、対応する構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明する。
Claims (7)
- 電解質膜を間にして一対の電極が対向配置された接合体を、導電性の接続部材により面内方向に連結した電気化学デバイスであって、
前記電解質膜は、前記一対の電極の間に挟まれた反応領域と、前記一対の電極から露出すると共に接着層が設けられた周辺領域とを有し、
前記接続部材は、二つの平坦部と、前記二つの平坦部の間に設けられた屈曲部とを有し、前記二つの平坦部の各々において、隣り合う前記接合体の一対の電極のうち一方に接し、前記屈曲部において前記接着層に接合されている
ことを特徴とする電気化学デバイス。 - 前記接着層は、前記電解質膜に接する第1密着層を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気化学デバイス。 - 前記接着層は、前記第1密着層の前記電解質膜とは反対側に、第2密着層を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項2記載の電気化学デバイス。 - 前記接着層は、前記第1密着層と前記第2密着層との間に、バリア層および強度保持層のうち少なくとも一方を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の電気化学デバイス。 - 前記接続部材の屈曲部に接続部材側接着層が設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気化学デバイス。 - 前記接合体は複数の行および列からなる二次元配列で配置されており、
前記接続部材は、前記接合体を、行方向の一端または両端では列方向に連結し、前記一端または両端以外では行方向に連結している
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気化学デバイス。 - 前記電解質膜を間にして燃料電極および酸素電極が対向配置された燃料電池である
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気化学デバイス。
