Description
まず本発明の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物の製造方法について説明する。
(第1実施形態)
次に、本発明に係る太陽電池の製造方法の第1実施形態について説明する。まず本実施形態に係る製造方法によって得られる太陽電池について説明する。
次に、本発明に係る太陽電池の製造方法の第2実施形態について図3を参照しながら説明する。図3は、本実施形態の製造方法により製造される太陽電池を示す断面図である。なお、第1実施形態の太陽電池20と同一の構成要素については同一符号を付し、重複する説明は省略する。
(i):半導体電極2の前駆体層(又は、焼成後の半導体電極2)の一部又は全部が剥離する現象、
(ii):多孔体層PSの前駆体層(又は焼成後の多孔体層PS)の一部又は全部が剥離する現象、
(iii):対極CEの前駆体層(又は焼成後の対極CE)の一部又は全部が剥離する現象。
次に、本発明に係る太陽電池の製造方法の第3実施形態について説明する。まず、本実施形態の製造方法により製造される太陽電池について図4を参照しながら説明する。なお、第1及び第2実施形態の太陽電池と同一の構成要素には同一符号を付し、重複する説明を省略する。
平均粒子径18nm(粒子径:10nm〜30nm)のアナターゼ型酸化チタン粒子を、エタノール及びメタノールの混合溶媒(エタノール:メタノール=10:1(体積比))に均一に分散して分散液を得た。このとき、酸化チタン粒子は、混合溶媒100重量%に対し、10重量%の割合で分散させた。この分散液100重量%に対し、チタンジイソプロポキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)をエタノールと混合した溶液を26重量%の割合で添加し、ホモジナイザーで均質に混合分散させて酸化チタンスラリーを得た。このとき、チタンジイソプロポキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)が、酸化チタン粒子100重量%に対して30重量%の割合となるように添加した。
酸化チタン粒子含有組成物の調製に際し、チタンジイソプロポキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)を添加しなかったこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感型太陽電池を得た。
酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を450℃で加熱する代わりに、紫外線ランプ(高圧水銀ランプ:ウシオ電機社製USH−500D、500W定格入力)を用いて酸化チタン粒子含有組成物に紫外線を1時間照射することによって半導体電極を作製したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感型太陽電池を得た。
酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を450℃で加熱した後、さらに実施例2と同様にして酸化チタン粒子含有組成物に紫外線を照射することによって半導体電極を作製したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感型太陽電池を得た。
チタンジイソプロポキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)に代えて、0.05mol/Lの三塩化チタン水溶液を添加したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして色素増感型太陽電池を得た。
上記実施例1〜3及び比較例1〜2で作製した色素増感型太陽電池の光照射時(疑似太陽光:1sun)の電流−電圧特性を測定した。結果を図5に示す。図5に示す結果より、有機チタンキレート錯体を含む酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を用いて作製した実施例1〜3の色素増感型太陽電池は、有機チタンキレート錯体を含まない酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を用いて作製した比較例1の色素増感型太陽電池に比べ、光電流が約2倍増大したことが分かった。さらに、実施例1、2の結果より、酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を450℃で焼成する場合と、その代わりに紫外線照射する場合とで光電流に差は見られず、両者では同等の効果が見られることが分かった。さらに実施例1〜3の結果より、有機チタンキレート錯体を含む酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を用いて作製した実施例1〜3の色素増感型太陽電池の中でも、実施例3の色素増感型太陽電池が、実施例1、2の色素増感型太陽電池より光電流が増大していた。このことから、組成物に紫外線を照射した後、加熱することが、光電流を増大させるために最も効果的であることが分かった。
実施例1の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物の長期安定性を確認するため、作製したその日の組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池のほかに、作製してから室温で1月間放置した組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池について電流−電圧特性を調べた。結果を図7に示す。なお、図7において、「初期」は、作製したその日の組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池の電流−電圧特性を示し、「1月後」は、作製してから室温で1月間放置した組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池の電流−電圧特性を示す。図7に示す結果より、作製したその日の組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池と、作製してから室温で1月間放置した組成物を用いて製造した色素増感型太陽電池とで電流−電圧特性に殆ど変化はなく、組成物の長期間の安定性が確認された。
酸化チタン粒子含有組成物への紫外線照射効果を検証するため、紫外線(UV)照射前後の半導体電極No.1〜No.8を作製し、これら半導体電極について光電子分光法(XPS)を用いて光電子分光スペクトルを測定してカーボン量の変化を算出した。結果を表1に示す。表1において、カーボン量(at%)は、酸化チタン粒子中の全元素(Ti、O、N、C、H)の総量を100at%とするとき、そのうちの全カーボン量を意味する。また、半導体電極No.1〜No.8のうちNo.5〜8については、光電子分光スペクトルの結果を図8に示す。
Claims (7)
- 酸化チタン粒子と、有機チタンキレート錯体とを含む酸化チタン粒子含有組成物。
- 粘度調整剤をさらに含む、請求項1記載の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物。
- 前記有機チタンキレート錯体が、チタンジイソプロポキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)、チタンジnブトキシド(ビス−2,4ペンタンジオネート)、チタンジイソプロポキシドビス(エチルアセトアセテート)、チタンジイソプロポキシドビス(テトラメチルへプタンジオネート)、チタンテトラアセチルアセトナート、及びチタンオクチレングリコーレートからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1又は2記載の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を透明導電性基板上に塗布し焼成する工程を含む、光電極の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を透明導電性基板上に塗布し、紫外線を照射する工程を含む、光電極の製造方法。
- 半導体電極及び当該半導体電極に隣接して配置された透明導電性基板を有する光電極と、対極と、前記半導体電極と前記対極との間に存在する電解質とを備える太陽電池の製造方法であって、
請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の酸化チタン粒子含有組成物を前記透明導電性基板上に塗布し焼成する第1の工程と、前記酸化チタン粒子に増感剤を付着させる第2の工程とを含む工程によって前記光電極を形成する、
