Claims (3)

  1. 4色カラー出力信号に対応する光を放射する発光体を有する表示装置を駆動するために、3色の色域画定原色に対応する3色カラー入力信号(R,G,B)を、該色域画定原色と一つの追加原色Wとに対応する4色のカラー出力信号(R’,G’,B’,W)に変換するための方法であって、
    a)現在ピクセルと隣接ピクセルとに関して3色カラー入力信号(R,G,B)の関数F1としての共通信号値Sを計算するステップと、
    b)前記現在ピクセルと隣接ピクセルとに関する共通信号に基づいて最終共通信号値S’を決定するステップと、
    c)前記最終共通信号値S’の関数F2の値を計算して、これを前記3色カラー入力信号(R,G,B)の各々に加算することによって前記3色カラー信号(R’,G’,B’)を計算するステップと、
    d)前記最終共通信号値S’の関数F3として前記出力信号Wを計算するステップと、を含む方法。
  2. 前記最終共通信号S’を決定するステップは、前記現在ピクセルと隣接ピクセルとに関する前記共通信号Sの重み付け平均値を計算するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
  3. 前記最終共通信号S’を決定するステップは、
    b1)前記隣接ピクセルに関する最小共通信号値を決定するステップと、
    b2)前記最小共通信号値と前記現在ピクセルに関する共通信号値Sとの重み付け平均値を計算するステップと、
    b3)前記重み付け平均値と前記現在ピクセルに関する共通信号Sとの最小値としてS’を決定するステップと、を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
