Claims (5)
- ディスプレイの3つの色域決定原色に関連した3色入力信号(R,G,B)を、ディスプレイの色域決定原色および1つの追加原色に関連した4色出力信号(R’,G’,B’,W)に変換するための方法であって、
前記追加の原色が駆動レベルで変化する色を有し、
a)前記追加の原色の駆動レベルと、追加の原色についての駆動レベルの範囲にわたり同等の色を一緒になって生成する3つの色域決定原色の強度との間の関係を決定する工程、および
b)前記3色入力信号R,G,Bおよびa)で決定された前記関係を使用して、前記4色出力信号のWに関する値と、前記4色出力信号のR’,G’,B’値を算出するために前記3色入力信号のR,G,B要素の中の1つまたは2つ以上の要素に適用すべき補正値とを決定する工程を含む方法。 - 前記3つの色域決定原色が、赤色原色、緑色原色および青色原色であり、前記追加の原色が前記赤色、緑色および青色の原色で決定される色域内の色を有する請求項1の方法。
- 前記4色出力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値を使用して前記ディスプレイを駆動する工程をさらに含み、
前記ディスプレイが、前記色域決定原色および前記追加の原色に対応した光を放射する発光要素を含む請求項1の方法。 - 前記追加の原色の選択された閾値駆動レベルを超える前記4色出力信号の値Wを有する色を前記ディスプレイに表示する場合、前記ディスプレイを駆動するために前記4色出力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値を使用し、
その他の色の全てを前記ディスプレイに表示する場合、前記追加の原色が前記既定の閾値よりも低い場合では使用されないように、前記3色入力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値を使用して前記ディスプレイを駆動する請求項3の方法。 - 追加の原色の混色比を決定する工程をさらに含み、
前記追加の原色の混色比に基づいて、前記4色出力信号の前記値Wをさらに決定する請求項4の方法。
