Description

Claims (2)
- ディスプレイの3つの色域決定原色に関連した3色入力信号(R,G,B)を、ディスプレイの色域決定原色および1つの追加原色に関連した4色出力信号(R’,G’,B’,W)に変換するための方法であって、
前記追加の原色が駆動レベルで変化する色を有し、
a)前記追加の原色の駆動レベルと、追加の原色についての駆動レベルの範囲にわたり前記追加の原色と同等の色を、3つの色域決定原色が一緒になって生成する前記3つの色域決定原色の強度との間の関係を決定する工程、
b)前記3色入力信号R,G,Bおよびa)で決定された前記関係を使用して、前記3色入力信号R,G,Bについての前記4色出力信号のWに関する3つの値を決定し、Wに関する前記3つの値の中の最小値以下の、前記4色出力信号のWに関する値を決定し、前記4色出力信号のWに関する決定された値とa)で決定された前記関係とを使用して、前記3色入力信号のR,G,B要素の中の1つまたは2つ以上の要素に適用すべき補正値を決定し、前記4色出力信号のR’,G’,B’値を算出する工程、および
c)前記4色出力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値を使用して前記ディスプレイを駆動する工程をさらに含み、
前記ディスプレイが、前記色域決定原色および前記追加の原色に対応した光を放射する発光要素を含み、
前記追加の原色の選択された閾値駆動レベルを超える前記4色出力信号の値Wを有する色を前記ディスプレイに表示する場合、前記ディスプレイを駆動するために前記4色出力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値を使用し、
前記追加の原色の選択された閾値駆動レベル以下の前記4色出力信号の値Wを有する色を前記ディスプレイに表示する場合、前記3色入力信号もしくはそれらを変換した値および、ゼロの、前記4色出力信号の前記値Wを使用して前記ディスプレイを駆動する方法。 - 追加の原色の混色比を決定する工程をさらに含み、
前記追加の原色の混色比に基づいて、前記4色出力信号の前記値Wをさらに決定する請求項1の方法。
