Abstract
【解決手段】 玉軸受に用いられる保持器5を、円周方向の複数箇所にボール4を保持するポケット5aを設けたリング状とする。前記ポケット5aのある円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径Rpを、ポケット5a間の円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径Riよりも大きくする。これにより、内輪肩部や内輪シール溝にグリースが付着し難くなる。

Description
保持器のポケットのある円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径を、ポケット間の円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径よりも大きくすることにより、内輪肩部や内輪シール溝にグリースが付着し難くなる。このことは、特に外輪回転時に特徴的に現れる。これにより、シールが接触タイプ、非接触タイプのいずれの場合にも、グリースの漏洩を防止できる。また、シールリップの緊迫力を強くする必要がないため、トルクが増大しない。ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径面が、軸方向から見て凹曲線となる曲面形状、および複数の角部を有する多角形状のいずれの場合でも、上記の各作用が得られる。
この構成とすれば、全体の強度低下を避けつつ、ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径を、ポケット間の円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径よりも大きくすることを実現できる。
保持器を上記構成とすれば、保持器の加工が容易である。
保持器に使用される合成樹脂材料としては、例えばPA66、PA46等のポリアミド樹脂やポリフェニルサルファイド樹脂が好適であり、さらに必要に応じてグラスファイバ等の強化繊維材を混入してもよい。

Claims (7)
- 玉軸受に用いられ円周方向の複数箇所にボールを保持するポケットを設けたリング状の保持器において、前記ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径を、ポケット間の円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径よりも大きくしたことを特徴とする玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項1において、前記ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径面が軸方向から見て凹曲線となる曲面形状である玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項1において、前記ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径面が軸方向から見て複数の角部を有する多角形状である玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項において、ポケットのある各円周方向部分の円周方向中央部が大径となるように、前記各ポケットのある円周方向部分の内周面を傾斜させることで、ポケットのある円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径を、ポケット間の円周方向部分の内径の保持器中心からの半径よりも大きくした玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項において、互いに軸方向に重なる2枚の環状部材からなり、各環状部材は、円周方向に所定の間隔で並びそれぞれが前記ポケットの内壁面を構成する複数の半球状のポケット壁部と、隣合うポケット壁部同士を連結する平板状の結合板部とでなり、両環状部材は、前記各結合板部で互いに重なって結合されたものである玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項5において、前記環状部材が樹脂製である玉軸受の保持器。
- 請求項5において、前記環状部材が鉄板製である玉軸受の保持器。
