Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の酸素センサは、酸素イオン伝導性の固体電解質層105と、固体電解質層105の基体部100側に位置する参照電極層104と、参照電極層104に対して固体電解質層105の反対側に位置する検出電極層106と、固体電解質層を昇温活性化させるヒータ部と、参照電極層104及び基体部の間に形成され、層内で基準ガスを拡散させるガス拡散層103とを備えており、参照電極層104及び検出電極層106間に電圧を増加させつつ印可し、両電極間を流れる電流が一定となったときに得られる限界電流値が60μA〜200μAとなるような気孔率をもってガス拡散層103が形成されていることを特徴としている。

Description
ガス拡散層103は、上述したように焼結後に多孔質体となり、上述した内部空間15(図1参照)から固体電解質層105の下方まで基準ガスとなる大気を拡散させる役割を持つ。次いで、ガス拡散層103上に内側(一方の)電極層104を印刷する。この内側電極層104の一端(リード部先端)は電極2a上にまで達している。内側電極層104の他端(内側電極部)上には固体電解質層105が印刷される。固体電解質層105の印刷工程では、固体電解質層105は三層重ねて順次印刷される。

Claims (3)
- 基体部及び該基体部の表面上に積層された機能層を有し、
前記機能層が、酸素イオン伝導性の固体電解質層と、前記固体電解質層の前記基体部側に位置する参照電極層と、前記参照電極層に対して前記固体電解質層の反対側に位置する検出電極層と、前記固体電解質層を昇温活性化させるヒータ部と、前記参照電極層及び前記基体部の間に形成され、層内で基準ガスを拡散させるガス拡散層とを備えた酸素センサにおいて、
前記参照電極層及び前記検出電極層間に電圧を増加させつつ印可し、両電極間を流れる電流が一定となったときに得られる限界電流値が60μA〜200μAとなるような気孔率をもって前記ガス拡散層が形成されていることを特徴とする酸素センサ。 - 前記ガス拡散層は、セラミックス材料に平均粒径1〜20μmの空孔形成材を10〜60wt%含有させて焼結時に該空孔形成材を消失させて多孔質セラミックス層として形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の酸素センサ。
- 前記ガス拡散層は、セラミックス材料に平均粒径1〜20μmの空孔形成材を20〜80IVol%含有させて焼結時に該空孔形成材を消失させて多孔質セラミックス層として形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の酸素センサ。
