Claims (2)
- ガス成分を検出するセラミック構造体としての検出素子と、
前記検出素子を挿入する挿入孔を有し、当該検出素子を嵌挿するホルダと、
前記ホルダの挿入孔の外周に設けられたシール材収納スペース内に圧縮されたシール材を充填することで、前記検出素子の外周と前記ホルダとの間をシールするシール部と、を備えたガスセンサにおいて、
前記検出素子は、絶縁性材料で形成された基体と、当該基体と一体に形成された多孔質のセラミック層と、を備えるとともに、前記セラミック層は、粒度分布の異なる複数のセラミック材料を混合した混合剤によって形成されており、
前記検出素子の少なくとも前記シール材の充填時に荷重がかかる部位には、粒径および比表面積のうち少なくともいずれか一方が異なる複数のセラミック材料の混合剤によって形成された多孔質のセラミック層が設けられていることを特徴とするガスセンサ。 - 前記検出素子の前記シール部と対向する部位には、粒度分布の小さい第1のセラミック材料を90〜99wt%含有し、前記第1のセラミック材料に比して粒度分布の大きな第2のセラミック材料を1〜10wt%含有して構成されるセラミック層が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガスセンサ。
