Claims (3)
- エンジンのインテークバルブおよびエキゾーストバルブのうちの少なくともいずれか一方のバルブの開閉タイミングを変更する可変バルブタイミング装置であって、
前記可変バルブタイミング装置を作動させるアクチュエータと、
前記アクチュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で前記開閉タイミングを変更する変更機構と、
前記アクチュエータを制御することにより、前記開閉タイミングを制御するための制御手段とを含み、
前記制御手段は、前記エンジンの回転数が予め定められた回転数以下であると、前記開閉タイミングの制御を停止するための手段を含む、可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 前記制御手段は、
前記アクチュエータへの通電を制御することにより、前記開閉タイミングを制御するための手段と、
前記エンジンの回転数が前記予め定められた回転数以下であると、前記アクチュエータへの通電を停止することにより、前記開閉タイミングの制御を停止するための手段を含む、請求項1に記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 前記変更機構は、前記開閉タイミングが第1の領域にある場合において、前記アクチュエータの作動量に対して第1の変化量で前記開閉タイミングを変更し、前記開閉タイミングが前記第1の領域とは異なる第2の領域にある場合において、前記アクチュエータの作動量に対して前記第1の変化量よりも大きい第2の変化量で前記開閉タイミングを変更し、
前記制御手段は、前記開閉タイミングが前記第1の領域にある場合および前記開閉タイミングが前記第2の領域にある場合の両方の場合において、前記エンジンの回転数が前記予め定められた回転数以下であると、前記アクチュエータへの通電を停止することにより、前記開閉タイミングの制御を停止するための手段を含む、請求項2に記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
