Abstract
【解決手段】エアバッグ装置1は、歩行者衝突検出装置10と、エアバッグECU11とを備えている。歩行者衝突検出装置10の補正部107dは、衝突位置検出部107cの衝突位置に関する信号に基づいて、受光部107bの出力信号を補正する。補正部107dの出力信号の大きさが所定値以上のとき、衝突判定部107eは、歩行者が衝突したと判定する。衝突位置が検出され、かつ、歩行者が衝突したと判定されると、エアバッグECU11は、点火信号を出力し保護装置を作動させて歩行者を保護する。これにより、衝突位置にかかわらず精度よく正確に衝突を検出し、歩行者を確実に保護することができる。

Claims (6)
- 衝突による衝撃の大きさを検出する衝撃検出手段と、衝突の位置を検出する衝突位置検出手段と、前記衝突位置検出手段の検出結果に基づいて前記衝撃検出手段の検出結果を補正する補正手段と、前記補正手段の補正結果に基づいて衝突を判定する衝突判定手段とを有することを特徴とする衝突検出装置。
- 前記衝突位置検出手段は、衝突による衝撃でオンする複数の接点を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の衝突検出装置。
- 前記複数の接点のうち少なくともいずれかは、衝突による衝撃でオンする領域が他の接点の領域と重なっていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の衝突検出装置。
- 前記衝撃検出手段は、光ファイバー、歪ゲージ、圧力センサ、及び加速度センサのうち少なくともいずれかを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の衝突検出装置。
- 車両に搭載され、前記車両への衝突を検出することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の衝突検出装置。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の衝突検出装置と、前記衝突検出装置における前記衝突位置検出手段の検出結果、及び前記衝突判定手段の判定結果に基づいて車両乗員又は歩行者を保護する保護手段とを有することを特徴とする保護装置。
