Claims (7)
- 車両バンパ内でバンパリンフォースの車両前方側に配置され且つ衝突に伴って変形し衝撃を吸収するアブソーバと、前記車両バンパ内で前記バンパリンフォースの車両前方側に配置され且つチャンバ空間が内部に形成されたチャンバ部材と、前記チャンバ空間内の圧力変化を検出可能な圧力センサと、前記圧力センサによる検出結果に基づいて前記車両バンパへの歩行者等の衝突を検知する衝突検知手段とを備えた車両用衝突検知装置において、
前記チャンバ部材の前端が前記アブソーバの前端よりも車両後方側に位置するように構成されたことを特徴とする車両用衝突検知装置。 - 前記チャンバ部材前端と前記アブソーバ前端との車両前後方向における距離は、前記車両バンパ全体の剛性が高いほど小さく、前記車両バンパ全体の剛性が低いほど大きく設定されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
- 前記車両バンパの前面に設けられるバンパカバーと前記アブソーバとを組み合わせたエネルギ吸収特性が車両幅方向において異なるとき、前記チャンバ部材前端と前記アブソーバ前端との車両前後方向における距離は、エネルギ吸収特性が高いほど小さく、エネルギ吸収特性が低いほど大きく設定されたことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
- 前記チャンバ部材前端と前記アブソーバ前端との車両前後方向における距離を、前記車両バンパの車両幅方向中央へ向かうに従って大きく、車両幅方向両端へ向かうに従って小さく設定したことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
- 前記チャンバ部材は、前記アブソーバの外部に設けられて車両前後方向に前記アブソーバの一部分と並列の位置関係となるように配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
- 前記チャンバ部材は、前記アブソーバの上方に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
- 前記アブソーバは、前記バンパリンフォース前面との間に衝撃吸収空間を形成する屈曲板状部材からなり、
前記チャンバ部材は、前記衝撃吸収空間内に配置されたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の車両用衝突検知装置。
