Claims (2)
- 光を発する発光手段と、前記発光手段の発生した光を伝送する光ファイバーと、衝突による荷重を前記光ファイバーに伝達する荷重伝達手段と、前記光ファイバーによって伝送された光を検出する受光手段と、前記受光手段の検出結果に基づいて衝突を判定する衝突判定手段とを備えた衝突検出装置において、
前記荷重伝達手段は、前記光ファイバーの外周面を包囲して、両端部がバンパーリインホースメントの形状に沿うように屈曲し、衝突による荷重が同一のとき、衝突位置にかかわらず前記光ファイバーに伝達される荷重が所定範囲内となるように、衝突による荷重の印加方向の寸法が、長手方向の中央部から屈曲部にかけて徐々に大きくなり、屈曲部で最大となるように設定されていることを特徴とする衝突検出装置。 - 前記荷重伝達手段は、衝突による荷重の印加方向の寸法が、屈曲部から端部にかけて徐々に小さくなり、端部で最小となるように設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の衝突検出装置。
