Claims (6)

  1. a)第1の液晶層と;
    b)該液晶層上に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む光学スタックであって、該jリターダーが、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸された高分子フィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、光学スタック。
  2. a)偏光子層と;
    b)該偏光子層上に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む光学スタックであって、該jリターダーが、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸された高分子フィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、光学スタック。
  3. a)第1の液晶層と;
    b)光変調デバイスと;
    c)該第1の液晶層と該光変調デバイスとの間に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む液晶ディスプレイであって、該jリターダーが、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸された高分子フィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、液晶ディスプレイ。
  4. a)偏光子層と;
    b)光変調デバイスと;
    c)該偏光子層と該光変調デバイスとの間に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む液晶ディスプレイであって、該jリターダーが、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸されたポリオレフィンフィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、液晶ディスプレイ。
  5. a)偏光子層と;
    b)該偏光子層上に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む光学スタックであって、該jリターダーが、結晶化調整剤を含む、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸された高分子フィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、光学スタック。
  6. a)偏光子層と;
    b)該偏光子層上に配設されたjリターダーと;
    を含む光学スタックであって、該jリターダーが、非環式ポリオレフィンポリマーを含む、少なくとも1つの偏光状態の可視光に対して実質的に非吸収性かつ非散乱性の同時二軸延伸された高分子フィルムを含み;さらにx、y、およびz直交方向屈折率を有し、これらの直交方向屈折率の少なくとも2つが等しくなく、面内リターダンスが100nm以下であり、そして面外リターダンスの絶対値が50nm以上である、光学スタック。
