発明の利点
これに対して、独立請求項に記載された特徴を備えた本発明によるセンサ素子は、測定ガスの組成がその他の点では同じならば、センサ素子の測定信号の圧力変動に対する依存性が低下するという利点を有している。

本発明の2つの実施例を図に示し、以下の説明においてより詳細に説明する。図1は、本発明の第1の実施例として、図2における線I−Iによる本発明のセンサ素子の縦断面図を示しており、図2は、図1の線II−IIによる第1の実施例の断面図を示しており、図3は、本発明の第2の実施例として、図4の線III−IIIによるセンサ素子の長手軸に対して垂直な断面図を示しており、図4は、図3の線IV−IVによる第2の実施例の断面図を示している。
実施例の説明
図1及び図2は、本発明の第1の実施例として、層状に形成されたプレーナセンサ素子10を示している。プレーナセンサ素子10はハウジング内に気密に配置されており、内燃機関の排気ガス中の酸素割合の検出に使用される。センサ素子10の図示されていない部分には給電領域とコンタクト領域とが含まれている。これらの領域の構造は当業者には周知である。
Claims (8)
- 測定ガスの特性を求めるための、有利には測定ガス内のガス成分の濃度を求めるためのセンサ素子であって、固体電解質(21,22)上に取り付けられた少なくとも1つの電極(42,43)を有しており、該電極は拡散路を介して測定ガスと連通しており、該拡散路の中に拡散隔壁(51,151)が配置されている形式のものにおいて、
前記電極(42,43)とは逆側の拡散隔壁(51,151)の領域に、前記電極(42,43)とは逆側の拡散隔壁(51,151)の該領域における拡散断面積を減少させる手段(52,152)が設けられていることを特徴とする、測定ガスの特性を求めるためのセンサ素子。 - 前記手段(52,152)は拡散隔壁(51,151)よりも低い多孔度を有している及び/又はガス不透過性である、請求項1記載のセンサ素子。
- 前記拡散隔壁(51,151)は実質的に円筒又は中空円筒の形状を有している、請求項1又は2記載のセンサ素子。
- 前記電極(42,43)は環状で、前記拡散隔壁(51,151)を包囲しており、このため、排気ガスはガス流入口(36)を通って前記拡散隔壁(51,151)の内部領域に入り、該内部領域から前記拡散隔壁(51,151)を介して前記電極(42,43)に達することができる、請求項3記載のセンサ素子。
- 前記手段は、前記拡散隔壁(51,151)の内表面の領域に及び/又は前記ガス流入口(36)の領域に設けられた環状の素子(52)である、請求項3又は4記載のセンサ素子。
- 前記手段は、前記拡散隔壁(51,151)の内表面の領域に及び/又は前記ガス流入口(36)の領域に設けられた少なくとも1つの柱状の素子(152)である、請求項3又は4記載のセンサ素子。
- 前記柱状素子(152)の高さは前記拡散隔壁(151)の高さに相当する、請求項6記載のセンサ素子。
