Abstract
【解決手段】フッ化炭素からなる正極と、リチウム金属からなる負極と、γ−ブチルラクトンを溶媒とする非水電解液と、セパレータを有する非解液一次電池において、セパレータにリン酸エステルを塗布した微多孔膜を使用する。

しても、電池特性に影響を与えるものではないと考えられる。
上記非水電解液を保液するセパレータは、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンなどの微多孔膜にリン酸エステルを塗布したものが使用される。微多孔膜の空孔率、突き刺し強度、透気度などに限定はなく、一軸延伸、二軸延伸などの製造方法に特に限定はされない。
(1)正極の作製
正極は、ニードルコークスをフッ素化処理して得られたフッ化炭素と、導電助剤としてアセチレンブラック、結着剤としてポリテトラフルオロエチレンのディスパージョンを、それぞれ固形分の比率80:10:10の割合で混練したのち、SUS444からなるエキスパンドメタルに充填し、それを厚さ0.35mmに圧延したものを、直径15mmで円形に打ち抜いて正極とした。これを120℃で8時間乾燥して用いた。
負極には、厚さ0.2mmのリチウム金属箔を直径14mmの円形に打ち抜き、負極とした。
非水電解液には、溶媒であるγ−ブチルラクトンに、LiBF4を1モル/リットルの濃度で溶解し非水電解液とした。
セパレータには、厚さ0.025mmのポリプロピレン製微多孔膜フィルムに、化学式(式2)で示されるリン酸エステルの16%水溶液を塗布し、常温で24時間乾燥したものを、直径16mmの円形に打ち抜いて使用した。
上記の正極、負極、非水電解液、セパレータを用いて、外径20mm、高さ1.6mmのコイン型非水電解液一次電池を作製した。その断面図を図1に示す。
正極4は、セパレータ6を介して、負極缶2の内面に圧着した負極5に対向するように配し、非水電解液を注液後、これらを正極缶1とポリプロピレン樹脂で成形したガスケット3とともに封口して作製し、本発明の実施例の電池Aとした。
実施例1のセパレータにリン酸エステル水溶液を塗布しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして電池Bを作製した。
上記のようにして作製した非水電解液一次電池を、放電抵抗10kΩで放電し、その放電特性を確認した。その放電曲線を図2に示す。
(1)正極の作製
正極は、実施例1と同様に作成し、厚さ0.35mmに圧延した正極を、幅23mm、長さ190mmに切り出し、SUS444製集電体を溶接し正極とした。これを120℃で8時間乾燥して用いた。
負極には、厚さ0.2mmのリチウム金属箔を幅21mm、長さ210mmに切断し、これにニッケル金属からなる集電体を圧着し、負極とした。
非水電解液には、溶媒であるγ−ブチルラクトンに、LiBF4を1モル/リットルの濃度で溶解し、非水電解液とした。
セパレータには、厚さ0.025mmのポリプロピレン製微多孔膜フィルムに、前述の式2で示されるリン酸エステル16%水溶液を塗布したものを、幅26mm、長さ440mmに切り出し、セパレータとして使用した。
上記の正極、負極、セパレータ、および非水電解液を用いて、外径17mm、高さ33.5mmの円筒形非水電解液一次電池を作製した。その断面図を図3に示す。
正極4と負極5は、セパレータ6を介して、渦巻き状に巻回し、極板群を作製し、負極缶2内に絶縁板10を挟んで収容した後、負極集電体8と負極缶を抵抗溶接した。正極集電体7と封口板9を溶接した後、非水電解液を注液しカシメ方式にて封口した。このようにして本発明の実施例2の電池Cを作製した。
実施例2のセパレータが従来のポリプロピレン製不織布(厚さ0.5mm)のもので作製した円筒形非水電解液一次電池を作成し、これを電池Dとした。
上記のようにして作製した非水電解液一次電池を、放電抵抗1kΩで放電し、2.0Vまでの放電容量を確認した。その結果を表1に示す。
