Abstract
【解決手段】液体を吐出するノズルと連通するとともに、その上面に圧電素子が形成された振動板によって一つの壁面が構成される複数の圧力室が2次元マトリクス状に配列された液体吐出ヘッドであって、前記圧電素子の前記振動板とは反対側に空間を確保しつつ前記圧電素子を封止するとともに、前記圧電素子を配置する平面に対して略垂直に立ち上がって形成される電気配線をも封止する封止部材と、前記封止部材に関して前記圧力室とは反対側に形成された、前記圧力室に前記液体を供給する共通液室とを備えたことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド及びその製造方法を提供する。

Claims (8)
- 液体を吐出するノズルと連通するとともに、その上面に圧電素子が形成された振動板によって一つの壁面が構成される複数の圧力室が2次元マトリクス状に配列された液体吐出ヘッドであって、
前記圧電素子の前記振動板とは反対側に空間を確保しつつ前記圧電素子を封止するとともに、前記圧電素子を配置する平面に対して略垂直に立ち上がって形成される電気配線をも封止する封止部材と、
前記封止部材に関して前記圧力室とは反対側に形成された、前記圧力室に前記液体を供給する共通液室と、
を備えたことを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッド。 - 前記封止部材は、樹脂成型で形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記封止部材は、前記振動板に対してインサートモールドすることにより形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記封止部材は、複数の圧電素子をまとめて封止することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記まとめて封止される複数の圧電素子は、同列方向に並んでいることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 前記まとめて封止される複数の圧電素子は、縦横方向それぞれについて2つ以上並んでおり、かつ前記共通液室から前記各圧力室への間に前記液体を供給する液供給路が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液体吐出ヘッド。
- 液体を吐出するノズルと連通するとともに、その上面に圧電素子が形成された振動板によって一つの壁面が構成される複数の圧力室が2次元マトリクス状に配列された液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記圧電素子の前記振動板とは反対側に空間を確保しつつ前記圧電素子を封止するとともに、前記圧電素子を配置する平面に対して略垂直に立ち上がって形成される電気配線をも封止する封止部材を樹脂成型によって一体的に形成し、
前記形成した封止部材を、前記空間が前記圧電素子を内部に含むように、前記圧電素子が形成された振動板に対して接合することを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 液体を吐出するノズルと連通するとともに、その上面に圧電素子が形成された振動板によって一つの壁面が構成される複数の圧力室が2次元マトリクス状に配列された液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記振動板上に形成された圧電素子の周辺を覆うように保護層を形成し、
前記圧電素子の前記振動板とは反対側に空間を確保しつつ前記圧電素子を封止するとともに、前記圧電素子を配置する平面に対して略垂直に立ち上がって形成される電気配線をも封止する封止部材を、前記保護層が形成された振動板に対して、インサートモールドすることによって一体的に形成することを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
