Description
特に、高アスペクトの貫通電極を構成することができ、高密度ヘッドに適した構成となる。また、これに伴い、共通液室を大容量化することができ、高粘度液体の安定吐出や流体クロストークの防止が可能となる。
また、前記目的を達成するために、第6の発明は、第1乃至第5のいずれか1つの発明に係る液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法によって製造された液体吐出ヘッドを備えたことを特徴とする画像形成装置を提供する。
また、蓋板には、前記共通液室側に開口する溝部が形成されている態様が好ましい。この態様によれば、蓋板の溝部に相当する位置の薄肉部が共通液室内に伝播する圧力波を緩和するダンパとして機能し、液体吐出に伴う流体クロストークを防止することができる。
特に、高アスペクトの貫通電極を構成することができ、高密度ヘッドに適した構成となる。また、これに伴い、共通液室を大容量化することができ、高粘度液体の安定吐出や流体クロストークの防止が可能となる。
Claims (5)
- 液体を吐出するノズル、前記ノズルに連通し前記液体が充填される圧力室、及び前記圧力室内の液体を加圧する圧電素子を含む液体吐出部と、前記液体吐出部の前記ノズル側とは反対側に配置され、前記圧力室に供給するための液体が貯留される共通液室に相当する孔部が貫通形成される枠基板と、前記枠基板の前記液体吐出部側とは反対側に配置される蓋板と、前記枠基板の側壁に前記液体吐出部側及び前記蓋板側に露出するように貫通形成される貫通電極と、を備え、前記圧電素子に対する駆動信号が前記貫通電極を介して供給される液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法であって、
前記孔部が貫通形成される環状の枠体の側面に複数の壁部材を該壁部材の厚み方向に積層接合することにより前記枠基板を形成する枠基板形成工程を含み、
前記壁部材には、前記貫通電極を形成するための複数の溝部であって、各溝部は前記壁部材の厚み方向の端面に開口するとともに前記壁部材の厚み方向に対して垂直な方向を長手方向とする細長状に形成され、各溝部の両端は前記壁部材の端面に開放されている複数の溝部が設けられていることを特徴とする液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。 - 前記枠基板形成工程は、前記複数の溝部が並べられる方向に沿って各溝部の開口面が交互に入れ替わるように構成されている前記複数の壁部材を積層接合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記枠基板形成工程は、前記壁部材の各溝部が該壁部材に隣接する壁部材の各溝部と対向するように前記複数の壁部材を積層接合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記枠基板形成工程は、前記壁部材の各溝部が該壁部材に隣接する壁部材の各溝部と対向しないように前記複数の壁部材を積層接合することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
- 前記枠基板形成工程は、前記複数の壁部材の間に、グランド線用の貫通電極を形成するための溝部が設けられた第2の壁部材が挟まれた状態で、前記複数の壁部材を積層接合することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドの製造方法。
